Violent attack by the regime forces on Al-Quriyah town on the west of the Euphrates River as well as more than 35 raids carried out by the warplanes and the helicopters on the town

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, have been witnessing intensive shelling since this dawn the 7th of November 2017, in which the warplanes and the helicopters targeted areas in Al-Quriyah town east of Al-Mayadin city, by more than 35 raids, which targeted the town by missiles and explosive barrels, which caused destruction to the property of the citizens as well as material damage, and he intensive bombardment is accompanied by shelling by the regime forces by artillery shells and missiles.

This intensive aerial and ground shelling is accompanied by violent clashes since this morning between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in Al-Quriyah town, following violent attack by the regime forces in an attempt to advance and regain the control over the town, which they lost on the 28th of October 2017, after a counter attack by the organization on the area.
