The SDF continue their military operations against ISIS in the east of the Euphrates River

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a man was killed and others were injured, as a result of bombardment by the warplanes yesterday on Al-Asharah town, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while the Syria Democratic Forces are continuing their attack on the positions of the “Islamic State” organization in the northern and the north-eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in an attempt by the SDF to end the presence of the organization in the area, in which violent clashes took place between the both parties in the outskirts of Al-Tawwamiyah village in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, amid advancement by the SDF in several points under a cover of bombardment by the International Coalition warplanes, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the violent clashes are still taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces, supported by the International Coalition against the “Islamic State” organization, in areas east of Euphrates River, where the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Al-Busayrah town and the vicinity of Sabkha village, in conjunction with clashes in the nearby area, where the Syria Democratic Forces are trying to achieve more advancement in the area and reduce the size of areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization east of Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the Syria Democratic Forces were able to advance in the area and control sites and areas used to be controlled by the organization, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received confirmed information about the arrival of large military reinforcements to Syria Democratic Forces, in preparations for the battle of controlling the entire east of Euphrates.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published two days ago that violent clashes are still taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the northern and northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor city, after an attack by “Jazeera Storm” Operation in the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the Syria Democratic Forces –who lead the operation- achieving more advancement in the area and controlling 4 villages used to be controlled by the organization, where the violent clashes were accompanied by intense shelling by the Syria Democratic Forces in areas controlled by the organization, and the clashes caused the death of members of the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory published on the 3rd of November 2017, that SOHR  monitored an attack by “Jazeera Storm” Operation on al-Sabha village which is controlled by the organization east of Euphrates in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to control them and extend their control in the eastern banks of the river, after their control of the villages of Jdid Ekydat, Jdid Bakara and al-Dahla, also violent clashes are taking place between both parties in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, during which the Syria Democratic Forces were able to advance and control 4 new villages after they managed to control 2 villages a few hours earlier, and the Syria Democratic Forces managed on the 2nd of November 2017, to achieve strategic advancement through controlling the villages of Jadid Bakara and JAdid Akidat, where the regime forces withdrew from Jadid Akidad days ago, after a counter attack by the organization, 24 hours after the regime controlled it, and the organization managed to keep the regime away from Tabiya Jazira village and the forces of AL-Jazeera Storm then managed advance, this control by the Syrian Democratic Forces in the villages of Jadid Bakara and Jadid Akidat, which lie are located east of the Euphrates River, allowed the SDF to cut the road before the regime forces and to stop them from advancing in the east of the Euphares kept them in the village of Tabia Jazira. The regime forces lost control over Jadid Akidat on the 25th of October after a violent and repel attack by ISIS in the village 24 hours after the regime controlled it, it is noteworthy that the SOHR received information from several sources on the 22nd of October that there are mediation between dignitaries from the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and ISIS to convince the latter to hand over, to the SDF, villages, towns and the remaining areas from Khesham area to Hajin town, and area of about 110 kilometers from the eastern banks of the Euphrates, in addition to the whole area remained in the northern and northeastern countryside, which is extended to the countryside Al-Sewar town. And the sources asserted that ISIS prefer handing over the organization-held areas to the SDF instead of handing them over to “the Shiite Militia”, in order to prevent the regime forces from advancing towards these area, and in this case, it is expected that the regime forces will move their military operation to the area of Al-Bukamal and nearby village in its countryside and the western banks of the Euphrates River in order to control these areas, in which the SOHR published on the 17th of October that the “Islamic State” organization withdrew from the villages that were under its control in the area between al-Husseiniya village -which is controlled by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them- and Mhimideh village -which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces, these villages are: Al-Jninah, Shaqra, Ji’aa, al-Alayna, al-Hesan, Sfireh Foqani and Sfireh Tahtani east of the Euphrates River and northwest of Deir Ezzor city, the sources confirmed that the organization withdrew from these villages towards areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the Syria Democratic Forces have entered several villages and started sweeping where they entered, in conjunction with completing their advancement towards the rest of the villages which are now ISIS-free, thus, the entire northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor is free from the “Islamic State” organization, while the Sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the withdrawal took place by an unannounced agreement between the organization and the “Jazeera Storm” Operation, by securing a withdrawal corridor for the organization towards its controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in exchange for getting out of these villages.
