ISIS recovers the entire city of Bokamal and expels the Iraqi Popular Mobilization, Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iranian Guards outside of it

The retaliation of regime and their allies for the loss of al-Bokamal leaves 26 civilian casualties in villages and towns in the countryside of Bokamal and injures a large number of citizens with varying severity

Clash continue violently in the far east of Deir Ezzor Province, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that violent clashes continue between members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guards of Iran and the gunmen loyal to the regime, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the organization restoring the entire city of al-Bokamal and re-imposing its control over the city; after forcing the loyal gunmen to withdraw to the perimeter of the city which is considered the largest and last stronghold of the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the loyal gunmen of the regime of non-Syrian nationalities are trying to absorb the counterattack and the biggest ambush they were under in al-Bokamal city, aiming to re-set their ranks and carry out a new attack on the city.

In the same context, warplanes -whose identity were not known whether they were Russian or were warplanes entered from the Iraqi side- did not stop bombing the city of Bokamal, villages and towns in its countryside in the eastern section of Deir Ezzor Province, where the warplanes carried out tens of airstrikes on the city and on a camp for the displaced people of Bokamal in al-Safafiyyah area and the villages and towns of al-Abbas, Sbikhan, Abu Hamam and Al-Marashdah, in conjunction with shelling the sources said that the source of it was the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces on a camp of displaced people near Al-Sekkariyyeh village, and the intense air and artillery strikes since yesterday night until now have killed and injured tens of civilians, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 26 at least including children and citizen women, including at least two families were killed in this shelling, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, as a result of this shelling that came in response to the loss of the pro-regime gunmen, also several citizens are still missing and their fate is unknown whether they were injured or dead, or if they have fled the shelled area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the “Islamic State” organization defeating the regime’s loyal gunmen of Iraqi, Lebanese and Asian nationalities, by being able to regain control of al-Bokamal city, and forcing the gunmen loyalists to the regime to withdraw from the city, and the violent clashes were accompanied by heavy shelling of hundreds of missiles, shells and bombs, amid explosions and exchange of targeting in the city located near the Syrian-Iraqi border, the organization in its counterattack relied on carrying out ambushes against the gunmen loyal to the regime, and this is considered as the biggest ambush by the “Islamic State” organization against the regime and the loyal gunmen, where the organization lured the gunmen loyal to the regime to an area in which it could re-attack them, where the organization started tricking the loyal gunmen that it collapsed and started fleeing the city, until the organization began successive counterattacks, which exhausted the loyal gunmen and forced them to retreat to the eastern and southern outskirts of the city, and the clashes have caused significant casualties among both parties, while warplanes and helicopters have carried tens of airstrikes which caused more damage to infrastructure.
