The battles of Al-Bokamal continue at a violent pace in the vicinity of the city and the gunmen loyal to the regime operate to absorb the organization’s attack and start a counter attack after the great defeat

The number of casualties rises with the continuation of targeting Al-Bokamal area and its countryside and the banks of the Euphrates Riverby warplanes

 

The clashes do not almost stop in the largest stronghold and the last city of the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, in the eastern section of Deir Ezzor province, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent fighting, between the gunmen loyal to the regime of Lebanese, Iraqi and Asian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in the vicinity of Al-Bokamal city from the eastern and the southern sides, after ISIS managed yesterday to regain the control over the entire of Al-Bokamal city, after hours of the violent clashes which started by a counter attack by the organization, after it drew the Popular Mobilization Forces and the other militiamen loyal to the regime to positions inside the city, and then it carried out a counter attack against them, after the organization made them believe that it escaped and withdrew from the city completely, and it managed by carrying out ambushes and successive attacks, to cause great human losses in the ranks of the gunmen loyal to the regime, and it forced them to retreat to the vicinity of Al-Bokamal city which is near the Syrian – Iraqi border, in which the gunmen loyal to the regime are trying to absorb the attack and reorganize their ranks to start a new attack enables them to advance again into the city.

 

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive shelling by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on Al-Bokamal city and villages in the vicinity of it, in conjunction with intensive raids by the warplanes, on the city and its countryside, and these air and ground strikes caused great human losses, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more citizens, in which 6 persons at least were killed by shelling by the warplanes on al-Ramadi river crossing over the Euphrates River, in the countryside of Al-Bokamal city, thus, the number of casualties of who were killed by the bombardment has increased to 32 persons including 9 children and citizen women and also including two families at least, during the past 36 hours, on a comp of the displaced people of Al-Bokamal in Al-Safafnah area and the villages and the towns of Abbas, Subakhan, Abu Hamam, al-Marashdah and al-Ramadi crossing, as well as a shelling that sources said that it was carried out by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces on a comp of displaced people near Al-Sokkariyeh village, and the intensive air and artillery strikes since yesterday and until now, caused tens of civilian casualties and wounded, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded, as a result of the shelling which was as a respond after the gunmen loyal to the regime lost Al-Bokamal, and there are a number of citizens is still missing and their destiny is unknown whether they injured, died or escaped from the area of the shelling.

 

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored that the organization managed to defeat the gunmen loyal to the regime of Lebanese, Iraqi and Asian nationalities, after it managed to regain the control of Al-Bokamal city almost completely, and to force the gunmen loyal to the regime to withdraw the southern and the eastern outskirts of the city, and the violent clashes were accompanied by intensive shelling by shells, missiles and bombs, amid explosions and exchange of targeting in the city, which is near the Syrian – Iraqi border, and the organization depended during its counter attack on carrying out ambushes against the gunmen loyal to the regime, and this was the largest ambush carried out by the organization against the gunmen loyal to the regime, as the organization drew the gunmen loyal to the regime gradually to place where it can re-attack them, after the organization made the gunmen loyal to the regime to believe that it collapsed and started to escape from the city, until it returned and started to carry out its successive counter attacks, which exhausted the gunmen loyal to the regime and forced them to withdraw to the eastern and the southern outskirts of the city, and the fighting caused great human losses in the ranks of the both parties, while the warplanes and the helicopters targeted the area by tens of strikes which caused more destruction to the infrastructure of the city.
