26 days after expelling the regime forces from it…the SDF enter the outskirts of Ziban town opposite Al-Mayadin city and violent fighting takes place there
The fighting is continuing in the east of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, between the forces of “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation led by the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization, in which the fighting extended in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, to include three areas in the Euphrates River, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent fighting between the both parties in Ziban town where the SDF advanced and managed to reach parts at the out skirts of the town, which the regime forces had controlled earlier before they were expelled by the organization which carried out then a counter attack on the area, and managed to force the regime forces to retreat to the western banks of the Euphrates River, on the 22nd of October 2017, in which Ziban town is opposite Al-Mayadin city.
This advancement of the SDF was accompanied by continuation of the skirmishes in the vicinity of Abu Hamam town on the same banks, in conjunction with exchange of targeting and skirmishes between the SDF and ISIS in al-Kashmeh area, where the forces of “Al-Jazeera Storm” operation advanced yesterday, coming from Al-Tank oilfield, to reach at a distance of 20 km away from Al-Bokamal city, and only a distance of 14 km separates them from Deir Ezzor border with Iraq, and the clashes caused confirmed human losses in the ranks of the both parties, due to the shelling, the targeting and the clashes between them.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the SDF managed to advance in Al-Shuhail town and controlled a village near it, and the forces began sweeping it, in conjunction with declining in the vicinity of Abu Hammam town, following their advance to the outskirts of the town on Tuesday, in another front in the eastern part of Deir Ezzor, reliable sources asserted to the SOHR that the SDF managed to advance in the desert, and reached Al-Kashma field near Al-Kashma village, coming from Al-Tanak oil field. There is confirmed information about the SDF controlling it, and starting a sweeping operation in the field, and therefore the SDF also managed to reach an area 20 km away from Al-Bukamal city, and an areas of about 14 km away from the borders of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor with Iraq.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, that the violent clashes have returned to the eastern banks of Euphrates River, between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by International Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory monitored the start of attacking by “Jazeera Storm” Operation in al-Tank oilfield area, advancing to the outskirts of Abu Hamam town east of Euphrates River, in a an attempt by the Syria Democratic Forces to control the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the Syria Democratic Forces through their attack are trying to besiege the organization in about 11 villages and towns scattered on the eastern banks of the Euphrates, in the area between ShHil town which was controlled by SDF yesterday and between the country of Abu Hamam town, of which SDF are trying to control, which has witnessed the biggest massacre carried out by the “Islamic State” organization against Syrian citizens, where it slaughtered and executed about 1000 people of them, and the Syria Democratic Forces are trying with this siege process to force the “Islamic State” organization to withdraw from the villages and towns that will fall into the siege, before its members being surrounded inside, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 13th of November 2017, that the SDF which lead the operation backed by the International Coalition, managed to achieve new and important advancement, and they took the control of Al-Shahil town and the nearby village of Al-Zar, thus, they advanced greatly on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and as a result they minimized ISIS scope of control in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 12th of November 2017, that he SDF managed to achieve important advancement and they completely took the control of Al-Busayrah Township which is one of the most important areas which used to be controlled by the organization, thus, the organization is continuing to lose more areas remaining under its control in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on Saturday the 11th of November 2017, that the clashes turned from the villages and the towns at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in which the SDF which lead “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation, managed to strike Al-Busayrah Township, and took the control of parts of this strategic township, which is one of the most important centers that are still controlled by the organization in the Syrian territory, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the 11th of November 2017, that the SDF managed to impose their control over Abriha village which is near Al-Busayrah Township, and this control came after violent fighting during which the organization was forces to withdraw from the area, and information about confirmed casualties in the ranks of the both parties, as a result of the exchange of shelling and the clashes between them, and with this advancement, the SDF have taken the control of the entire east of the Euphrates from the northwestern administrative borders of Deir Ezzor with Al-Raqqah Province, down to the area opposite the al-Sh’aytat desert east of the Euphrates, which includes the largest oilfield in Syria: al-Omar oilfield, and the largest plant and gas field in Syria: Koniko field, and the fields of al-Tank, Sijan and al-Jufrah, and the villages and towns of al-Sabkha, al-Sor, Jdid Ekydat, Jdid Bakara, al-Kubar, Mhimideh, al-Sa’wa, Z’eir Jzira, al-Kasra, and other areas stretching from the north of Deir Ezzor city until the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 8th of November 2017 that the Syria Democratic Forces who leading the “Jazeera Storm” Operation supported by the International Coalition were able to advance in the far southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and took control of Markadah town, which used to be the last town controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Al-Hasaka Province, and with this, the organization loses its presence in the entire towns of the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and now ISIS controls only villages, farms and hills in the southern countryside of the Hasakah.
