Most of ISIS members withdraw from Al-Bokamal city with ongoing fighting in the vicinity of the last city of it in Syria
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in the vicinity of Al-Bokamal city, in the western banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near the Syrian – Iraqi border, and the SOHR monitored that most of ISIS members withdrew from the city, which was the last city of the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, and the largest stronghold within the areas remaining under its control in Deir Ezzor province and the Syrian territory.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today the 19th of November 2017, that it monitored the fierce resistance by the organization, in an attempt to repel the violent attacks of the regime forces, during which they are seeking to expel the organization from the last areas that are controlled by the organization, in the north and the north-east of the city, and the SOHR monitored that the regime forces managed to increase their scope of control, and they controlled more than 90 % of Al-Bokamal city, while the presence of the organization is confined in the eastern and the north-eastern sections of the city, adjacent the western bank of the Euphrates River, while the violent clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas and bombardment by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes, on areas in Al-Bokamal city and its outskirts, which caused human losses in the ranks of the both parties.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since last Thursday the 16th of November 2017, until today the 19th of November 2017, the death of tens of members in the ranks of the both parties, in which 31 members at least of the regime forces and the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian nationalities were killed, while more than 50 members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities were killed, including 8 members detonated themselves by explosive belts and booby trapped vehicles inside Al-Bokamal city and its outskirts, and members in the ranks of the both parties were injured with varying degrees of severity.
