Shells target al-Mazzeh kill and injure 10 persons at least, raising the number of casualties and wounded in 4 consecutive days of the shelling to 120 in Damascus and its suburbs
New explosions today Sunday the 19th of November 2017 shook areas in Damascus, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the explosions were caused by the fall of shells on areas in Mazzeh in the capital and other areas in Jaramana Suburb near Damascus, which caused casualties, where two persons at least were killed and 8 others at least were injured in the Mazzeh area, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, raising to 16 at least, the number of people who were killed by the fall of shells since Thursday the 16th of November 2017, while it rose to 100 at least, the number of injured people -including children and women- in the same period.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that more explosions shook areas in the center of Damascus and its suburbs and south of Rif Dimashq, they were caused by the fall of shells on places in al-Mujtahid area near Bab Musalla, Baghdad Street, Dawilah, Bab Sharqi and other areas in the center and outskirts of the capital, also shells landed on al-Sayeda Zaynab area, where the shells caused significant casualties, and the Observatory documented the death of 2 persons at least in the shelling, while about 30 others were injured of varying degrees of severity, raising to at least 14, the number of people who were killed since Thursday including a martial arts instructor, a child and a citizen woman, also it rose to more than 92, the number of injured people, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that shells fell on places in the Dwel’aa area, and on places in al-Swiqa area which killed a person and wounded others, also shells fell on places in al-Fahhama and Khalid Bin Walid Street, and other areas in the Old Damascus and Esh al-Warwar, also shells fell on al-Abbasiyyin area, Swiqa neighborhood, Sabea’ Bahrat area, Zablatani area, Esh al-Warwar neighborhood, and other areas in the Old Damascus, al-Dwel’aa and the center of the capital.
