The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

The regime forces shell the controlled areas of Jaysh Al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta with the continuation of their clashes against Ahrar Al-Sham movement

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: areas in Misraba town were shelled this morning the 21st of November 2017, by the regime forces, which resulted in the fall of wounded, while the regime forces shelled areas in Douma city, in conjunction with shelling by more than 25 shells that targeted areas in Harasta city and its vicinity, in conjunction with ongoing clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, in areas in the vicinity of the Vehicle Department and inside it, amid targeting on the clash areas between the both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that the violent clashes that accompanied intensive targeting and shelling on the clash area, caused large number of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, in which the SOHR documented the death and the injury of tens of fighters, in which the number of casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them who were killed in these clashes, has increased to 54 casualties at least including 12 officers including a general, while others were injured with varying degrees of severity.

The violent fighting accompanied constantly by intensive shelling, targeted the towns and the cities of the Eastern Ghouta, in which the shelling hit the towns and the cities of Douma, Harasta, Zamlka, Mdira, Misraba, Saqba, Hamouriyah, Arbin, Ashari, Beit Sawa, Hazza and Kafr Batna, in which the SOHR has documented that the regime forces targeted Harasta city and Mdira town with the vicinity of the Vehicle Department by more than 739 artillery shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, since last Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, and the SOHR has also documented that 156 raids at least targeted Harasta city and Mdira town since Tuesday, and the SOHR has documented 101 raids at least hit the cities of Douma, Arbin and Zamlka as well as other areas in the Eastern Ghouta in the same period, while the number of shells and missiles that are believed to be ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces and fell on the cities and the towns of Ein Tarma, Douma, Misraba, Saqba, Hamouriyah, Arbin, Ashari Farms, Beit Sawa, Hazza and Kafr Batna, has increased to 278.

And the violent clashes and the intensive bombing by the warplanes and by the regime forces by the artillery and rocket shelling, as well as missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, resulted in the death and the injury of hundreds of persons, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of 87 citizens including 18 children under the age of eighteen, 9 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 4 members of the Civil Defense, the number of people who have been killed since Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, where 10 citizens including 4 children and 2 citizen women were killed on Monday, by artillery and rocket shelling on Arbin, Mdira, Hamuriya and Kafr Batna, while 17 citizens including a child were killed on Sunday, by artillery and rocket shelling on Douma, Misraba, Mdira, Hamuriya, while on Saturday at least 14 were killed including a child girl and 4 women as a result of raids on Mdira and Harasta, and artillery shelling on Hazza and Hamuriya, while 20 citizens including 6 children and 2 citizen women were killed on Friday, as a result of artillery, aerial and rocket shelling on Douma, Harasta and Arbin, while 14 citizens including 4 children and women were killed on Thursday, due to raids and land shelling on Arbin, Beit Sawa, Douma, Hamuriya and Ein Tarma, and the casualties who were killed on Wednesday, are 8 citizens including two children they were killed by raids and artillery shelling Arbin, Saqba, Hamuriya and Douma, while the casualties who were killed on Tuesday are 4 citizens were killed by shelling on Arbin and Mdira, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the injury of about 352 persons at least including tens of children and citizen women, some of them are still in serious situation, which may raise the death toll.
