The regime forces and their allied advance in the last areas controlled by the organization west of the Euphrates and besiege it in 4 towns and villages

“Islamic State” organization is about to lose its entire presence in the western banks of the Euphrates in Syria

Deir Ezzor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor is witnessing violent clashes for the second day on a raw, between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against ISIS in areas inside the besieged circle extending from Al-Kashma (Teshreen) to east of Mahakan, where the SOHR monitored that the regime forces and their allied managed to achieve strategic advance in the area and reduce the areas controlled by ISIS west of the Euphrates, and this advancement resulted in besieging the organization by the regime forces in 4 towns and villages still under its control in the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and if the regime forces managed to advance and control them in coming days, they would be able to end the presence of ISIS in the areas located west of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and this upcoming advancement will make ISIS lose its full control over the western banks of the Euphrates River along the Euphrates River in an area of 610 km long in the Syrian territory extending from the Syrian – Turkish borders to the Syrian – Iraqi borders, after the organization used to fully control the banks of the Euphrates River since its entry to the Syrian territory until it got out of it.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the fighting of the last stage does not almost stop, in the terms of the clashes and the aerial and the land shelling, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in the contact areas between them, in the western bank of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, within Al-Bokamal Battle and the clashes followed it which started on last Thursday the 16th of November 2017, in which the regime forces and their allied are seeking to end the presence of ISIS in the entire are extended on the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after they managed with members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, the Afghan Liwa Fatemiyoun, Al-Nujaba’ Iraqi Movement, the Iraqi Hezbollah and militiamen of Palestinian and Syrian nationalities, to hold their control over Al-Bokamal city on the 20th of November 2017, and to complet yesterday, Tuesday the first 24 hours of their last stage of ending the presence of ISIS.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the violent clashes which started on Thursday the 16th of November 2017, and which concentrated in the besieged circle between al-Kashmeh town “Teshreen” and Mahkan town, and in the east of Al-Jalaa town, and the ongoing fighting caused more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, in which the number of casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Iranian, Afghan and Palestinian nationalities of who were killed in Al-Bokamal city and its vicinity and countryside, has increased to 156 members at least, including 49 Syrian members, and 15 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, while the rest members are of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces as well as , Iraqi, Iranian and Afghan members, and the total death toll includes 30 members of who were killed in clashes in the vicinity and the countryside of Al-Bokamal, during the past 6 days, and the number of the casualties of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in these clashes during the same period, has increased to 118 members at least, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the injury of tens of them with varying degrees of severity, which may raise the death toll.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Sunday the 19th of November 2017, that it monitored that the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian nationality, the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Iraqi Nujabaa Movement and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard start sweeping al-Bokamal city which they managed to control after the withdrawal of the remaining members of the “Islamic State” organization from the last city they used to control in Syria, this control came after violent clashes that killed and injured tens of both parties during the past 3 days, where the regime forces were able to enter the city on Thursday the 16th of November 2017; after the organization’s expel of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, by counterattacks that targeted them inside the city.
