After they used to control 2% of its area…the regime forces increase there scope of control to more than 52% of the area of Deir Ezzor province

Negotiations with ISIS to end their presence in the east of the EuphratesRiver in Deir Ezzor province

 

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces and their allied forces of the Russian forces, the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and the Syrian, Iraqi and Palestinian gunmen, continued their targeting to the remaining controlled areas of the “Islamic State” organization in the west of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the organization is besieged, and they are 4 towns and villages- Al-Quriyah, Al-Asharah, Hassarat and al-Siyyal, and the targeting is accompanied by skirmishes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from reliable sources, that negotiations are carrying out between the regime and the forces accompanied them, with the leadership of the “Islamic State” organization in the last remaining areas in the west of the Euphrates River, to reach an agreement in order to end the presence of the organization in the areas located within the operations of the regime forces in the west of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and if the negotiations succeed, then the regime forces will impose the control the entire area extended in the western bank of the Euphrates River, from the Syrian – Iraqi border to the border of Deir Ezzor with Al-Raqqah.

 

These negotiation that are carrying out between the both parties, came after the regime forces managed to achieve important advancement during the recently weeks and days, which increased the scope of control of the regime forces to more than 52.1% of the area of Deir Ezzor province, as the regime forces impose their control over more than half the province’s area, after they had controlled only 2% of the area of Deir Ezzor province before the 27th of September 2017, in which they presented in the provinces by controlling only a part of Deir Ezzor city and Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, and its vicinity, while the regime forces are pushing the organization to accept the deal, by imposing pressure over them through continuing their targeting the areas where the organization is besieged in the west of the Euphrates River, and the regime forces backed by militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Iraqi, Iranian, Lebanese and Asian and with the participation of the Russian forces, took the control of the entire area extended on the western banks of the Euphrates River, from the administrative border with Al-Raqqah to Mahakan town in the east of Al-Mayadin, including Farms, towns and cities, the most important are Deir Ezzor city, Al-Mayadin, Bakrus, Al-BoOmar, Al- Muhasan, Miray’iyyah, al-Jufrah, Ayyash, Al-Shmaytiyyah, Al-Tabni, Al-Kharita and other villages on the western banks of the Euphrates River, and Deir Ezzor city and they controlled Al-Bokamal city and the area to Ashayer village, as well as controlling the area extended from Al-Jalaa to Al-Asharah, in addition to their advancement on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite Deir Ezzor city, from Al-Husseiniyah village in the east of the Euphrates River opposite Deir Ezzor city, to Khesham town, and the next advancement will result in losing the organization’s control over the western bank of the Euphrates River completely, along the Euphrates River extended 610 km inside the Syrian territory from the Syrian – Turkish border to the Syrian – Iraqi border, after the banks of the Euphrates River used to be controlled completely by the organization since it entered the Syrian territory until it got out.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored during the past weeks, the successive collapse of the organization which escalated greatly in Deir Ezzor province, with the end of the first third of September 2017, when the “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation which is led by the Syria Democratic Forces started in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and the east of the Euphrates River attached with the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and with the ability of the regime forces to lift the siege completely of their controlled areas in Deir Ezzor city, in which the regime forces and the SDF escalated their operations against ISIS, in conjunction with escalating the operation by the regime forces, and the ISIS scope of control in the province decreased to 10.2% of the area of the province, in which it still controls the area extended from the east of Al-Jarzai Al-Gharbi to the Syrian – Iraqi border in the east of the Euphrates River including the villages and the towns the most important are Abu Hamam, al-Kashkiyyeh, Gharanij, Al-Bahra, Hajin, al-Shafa, al-Susah, al-Marashdah, while it is besieged in the towns and the villages of al-Siyyal, Al-Hassarat, al-Asharah and al-Quriyah in the west of the Euphrates River, while the SDF control 37.7% of the area of Deir Ezzor Province, and their control is concentrated in the east of the Euphrates River from the north-western border of Deir Ezzor with Al-Raqqah province to the area opposite Sh’aytat, in the east of the Euphrates River, which includes the largest oilfield in Syria: al-Omar oilfield, and the largest plant and gas field in Syria: Koniko field, and the fields of al-Tank, Sijan and al-Jufrah, and the villages and towns of al-Sabkha, al-Sor, Jdid Ekydat, Jdid Bakara, al-Kubar, Mhimideh, al-Sa’wa, Z’eir Jzira, al-Kasra, and other areas stretching from the north of Deir Ezzor city until the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, with the entire banks of Khabur River inside Deir Ezzor province.
