After massacres killed 25 citizens yesterday and after targeting its cities and towns by more than 1500 raids, shells and missiles…calm prevails the Eastern Ghouta and the clash fronts there

The Eastern Ghouta of Damascus is witnessing calm that has been prevailing its cities and towns since after the midnight of Sunday – Monday, in terms of fighting between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, in the Vehicle Department and its vicinity near Harasta city, and in terms of shelling by artillery and mortar shells as well as raids carried out by the warplanes, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored this calm, after the warplanes carried out massacres yesterday, Sunday the 26th of November 2017, which killed 25 citizens including 5 children and 3 women, they are: 16 casualties including 3 children and a citizen woman as well as 3 citizens of one family including two brothers, while the number of the casualties who were killed by raids targeted areas in Mdira town, has increased to 7 persons including two children and two citizen women, while two citizens were killed by shelling by the regime forces by missiles on areas in Douma city.

 

This calm comes with completing the 13th day of escalating the aerial and land shelling, and the violent clashes which started on the 14th of November 2017, in which the fighting broke out by an attack by the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham on the Vehicle Department near Harasta city and Mdira town, followed by starting villent shelling by the regime forces resulted in the fall of hundreds of casualties and wounded, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 129 casualties at least including 31 children under the age of eighteen, 14 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 4 members of the Civil Defense, the number of people who have been killed since Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 25 citizens on Sunday including 5 children and 3 citizen women by raids on Misraba and Mdira, as well as rocket shelling on Douma, also 11 citizens including 5 children and a woman were killed on Thursday due to raids on areas in the cities and the towns of Harasta, Douma and Ein Tarma, raids on Arbin city, rocket shelling on Ein Tarma and Jisreen, affected by the injury they had by raids on Hazza and Misraba, artillery shelling on Arbin city, while 3 children were killed on Wednesday by artillery shelling on Ein Tarma and Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta, while 3 citizens including a woman died on Tuesday affected by the injury they had by artillery and rocket shelling previously on Arbin city and Misraba town, also 10 citizens including 4 children and 2 citizen women were killed on Monday, by artillery and rocket shelling on Arbin, Mdira, Hamuriya and Kafr Batna, while 17 citizens including a child were killed on Sunday, by artillery and rocket shelling on Douma, Misraba, Mdira, Hamuriya, while on Saturday at least 14 were killed including a child girl and 4 women as a result of raids on Mdira and Harasta, and artillery shelling on Hazza and Hamuriya, while 20 citizens including 6 children and 2 citizen women were killed on Friday, as a result of artillery, aerial and rocket shelling on Douma, Harasta and Arbin, while 14 citizens including 4 children and women were killed on Thursday, due to raids and land shelling on Arbin, Beit Sawa, Douma, Hamuriya and Ein Tarma, and the casualties who were killed on Wednesday, are 8 citizens including two children they were killed by raids and artillery shelling Arbin, Saqba, Hamuriya and Douma, while the casualties who were killed on Tuesday are 4 citizens were killed by shelling on Arbin and Mdira, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the injury of about 440 persons at least including tens of children and citizen women, some of them are still in serious situation, which may raise the death toll.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented that the regime forces targeted Harasta city and Mdira town with the vicinity of the Vehicle Department by more than 849 shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, since Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, and the SOHR has also documented that 185 raids at least targeted Harasta city and Mdira town since Tuesday, and the SOHR has also documented 134 raids at least hit the cities of Douma, Arbin and Zamlka as well as other areas in the Eastern Ghouta in the same period, while the number of shells and missiles that are believed to be ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces and fell on the cities and the towns of Ein Tarma, Douma, Misraba, Saqba, Hamouriyah, Arbin, Ashari Farms, Beit Sawa, Hazza and Kafr Batna, has increased to 337.
