At least 53 casualties including 33 children and women were victims of targeting the al-Shafa residential complex east of Euphrates, raising the province’s death toll to more than 1000 in 80 days
Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: with the death of more citizens and recovering more bodies from under the ruins of the destruction caused by warplanes in the town of al-Shafa, located on the eastern banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, the number of casualties continue to rise, where it rose to 53 at least, the number of people who were killed and documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and killed in the massacre of Shafa town, including 21 children under the age of eighteen and 12 citizen women, while the search for survivors and trapped people under the targeted building continues, and they have been completely destroyed, also there are still some other people injured and some of them are in dangerous situations, which may raise the death toll, thus, the number of casualties whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory, has increased to 85 persons at least including 41 children and citizen women they are: 53 citizens including 21 children and 12 citizen women who were killed by raids during the past 72 hours, on the controlled areas of the organization in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, they are: the casualties who were killed in Al-Shafa massacre in addition to 17 casualties at least including 8 children and citizen women including a citizen woman and her children they were killed by bombardment by warplanes believed to be Russian targeted an area of a camp of displaced people in the desert of Al-Syal village in the countryside of Al-Bukamal in one of the last pockets remaining under the control of ISIS west of the Euphrates, and 11 citizens including a doctor, a child and 4 citizen women were killed as a result of bombardment by warplanes believed to be related to the International Coalition on Darnaj village, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
Thus, the death toll has increased to at least 1006, including 403 children and women, the number of those who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the 10th of September 2017, the date of lifting the siege on their controlled areas in Deir Ezzor city, until today the 26th of November 2017, date of last stage of ending the presence of the organization west of the Euphrates River, they are 672 citizens including 142 children and 131 women, were killed by raids by the regime’s warplanes and helicopters as well as the Russian warplanes on Deir Ezzor city and its eastern and western countryside and areas in the east of the Euphrates River, and 46 citizens including 14 children and 8 women were killed by shelling by the regime forces on areas in Deir Ezzor and its eastern countryside, and 39 citizens including 4 children and 6 women, were killed as a result of executing and shooting them by the regime forces in Deir Ezzor and its vicinity and the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and 197 citizens including 51 children and 27 women were killed by raids by the International Coalition warplanes on the eastern and the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and 26 citizens including 15 children and 5 women were killed in missile and artillery shelling, which are fired by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization according to sources, this bombing resulted in great destruction in the infrastructure and the property of the citizens, and caused a large number of wounded, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the injury of about 2540 persons with varying degrees of severity, some of them have amputated limbs and permanent disabilities, while there are a number of missing whose fate is unknown till now, while some injures have been seriously wounded, which may raise the death toll.
