19 consecutive days of intensive targeting by shells leave 235 casualties and wounded in the capital Damascus and its suburbs
Targeting the capital Damascus and vicinity by rocket shells that fall on areas in the middle of the capital and its outskirts and suburbs, has been continuing daily since the 16th of November 2017, and the last one was what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented today, Monday the 4th of December 2017, in which it documented the fall of shells on Al-Abasyeen area and its garage, as will as the fall of two shells on Al-Zahera area in the capital Damascus, an other shells fell on Jaramana area in the suburbs of the capital, which injured 4 persons in Jaramana, while the capital witnessed yesterday, Sunday the 3rd of December 2017, the fall of shells on Alassad suburb and on the area of Sayeda Zeinab and Esh al-Warwar neighbourhood in Barzeh area, and the areas of Jaramana and al-Dwel’a, injuring 9 persons at least with varying severity.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented since Thursday the 16th of November 2017, the death of at least 29 civilians, as well as the injury of about 206 others with varying severity; some of whom were seriously injured, while some of them are still suffering serious wounds which may raise the death toll, in which they targeted during the past days, places in Dwel’a area and places in al-Swiqa area, the areas of al-Fahhama and Khalid Bin al-Walid Street, other areas in the Old Damascus, Al-Zablatani area, al-Fayha’a area, al-Mujtahid area, Al-Abbasiyyin area, Al-Mayadin area, Sabi Bahrat area, Esh Al-Warwar neighborhood, Jaramana, Dahiyat al-Assad, and the area of Teshreen Military Hospital as well as other places in the middle of the capital.
