Calm returns to the northeast of Hama which was targeted by more than 110 raids by warplanes during the past few hours
Hama Province, the Syrian Observatory for human Rights: areas in al-Hwyja village in Sahl Al-Ghab at the northwestern countryside of Hama were shelled by the regime forces, which caused material damage but no information about casualties, while the military situation returned to calm on the fronts of the clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, after violent clashes through which the regime forces controlled al-Rahjan town the birthplace of the regime’s Minister of Defense, and the northeastern countryside of Hama have witnessed since Friday morning more than 110 raids by warplanes targeting areas in al-Rahjan town, its vicinity and other villages near it, like Om Mayyal and al-Shakuziyyeh, and al-Rahjan have had more than half of these raids, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the clashes do not almost calm down in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, like the bombardment which does not almost stop as it targets the villages and the towns of the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and the bombardment concentrated during the last week greatly on Al-Rahjan town, the hometown of the Minister of Defense of the regime Fahd Jassem al-Freij , which was out of the control of the regime forces in the mid of July 2014, in which Al-Nusra Front (Al Qaeda in the Levant) took the control of it then, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored this noon, Friday the 8th of December 2017, that 2 warplanes carried out simultaneously, more than 30 raids on areas in Al-Rahjan town and its vicinity, in conjunction with intensive and violent artillery and rocket shelling on the same town, amid violent attack started by the regime forces on the area, in which clashes- that are considered the most violent ones since the regime force reached the vicinity of the town few days ago- are taking place between the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions against the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, with targeting in the clash areas between them.
This intensive bombardment raises the number of the raids that the warplanes carried out during the past 6 days to 350, to raise in turn the number of the raids that carried out by the warplanes and the helicopters which hit the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham held-areas, since the 22nd of October 2017, to about 1600 raids, and the regime forces fired hundreds of shells and missiles on areas in the villages and the towns of the north-eastern countryside of Hama, in which they managed during this period since October, to take the control of Al-Shahtiya, al-Mestriha, Jub Abyad, Rasm Abu Myal, Rasm Al-Sawy, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm al-Tina, Abu Lafa, Marijab Al-Jamlan, Al-Khafiya, Sham Al-Hawa, Al-Rehraha, Sarha, Abu Al-Ghar, Baghdid, Al-Mushayrafa, Jawiad, Hasrat, Kharbat Al-Rahjan, Hasnawy, Mwailah Shamali, Qasr Ali, Qasr Shawy, Tel Mahsar, Al-Rabia, Douma, Rabda, Al-Hazm and Arafa.
