The regime forces shell a town controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam after shelling areas controlled by Ahrar Al-Sham

Ongoing battles are taking place in areas in the southwestern countryside of the capital between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham in areas in the vicinity of Barda’ia Hills, and the SOHR monitored that the clashes are concentrated in Dahar Al-USud area, as a result of new attack by the regime forces at the area, in an attempt to control new areas and advance in the area, and the clashes are accompanied by heavy shelling by the regime forces on the area, amid an exchange of targeting between both parties on the clash areas, and there is information about human losses in the ranks of both parties, while the regime forces managed to advance in several points in the area, amid preliminary information about the factions controlling them as a result of rebel attacks by these factions on points and positions.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published days ago that regime forces are trying through this attack to dismember what is remain under the control of the factions southwest of Rif Dimashq and separate between them, in order to force them to bow to a “reconciliation” or an agreement that ends the presence of the factions and enables the regime forces from imposing their control over them, to end the presence of the factions in the area completely near the Syrian-Lebanese border and near the occupied Syrian Golan, the violent clashes are accompanied by heavy artillery and missile shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by helicopters on a daily basis, in order to inflict the largest number of casualties and to secure the advancement of their troops.
