“National Rescue Government” issue a decision on “widows” causing a state of resentment in its administration areas in north Syria

A state of resentment prevails in Idlib province and northern Syria on the background a decision issued by “Ministry of Social Affairs and Immigrants” oblige widow women to change their residence to a place close to their “Mehram” (unmarriageable persons like her father, brothers or sons). The Ministry of the Resuce Government issues a decision reads as follows:

“Out of its commitment to the provisions of Islamic Shari’a, especially in regard to the status of widowed sisters, and the need for the presence of a Mehram with each sister or next to her, so as to preserve her reputation and to be helpful to her and deterrent to all greedy people, the General Directorate for Immigrant Affairs has taken the following decisions:

* each widow is required to live with her Mehrem or next to him, by moving to or next to his place of residence, based on available possibilities.

* Those who violates this decision are subject to legal accountability

* This decision shall be notified to the implementation authority

The SOHR published  last Tuesday the 12th of December 2017 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a tension prevails Idlib Province and the Syrian north between the “Syrian Interim Government” and the “National Rescue Government”, after a warning by the last government to the interim government, that its headquarters and offices should be vacated and left within a maximum of 72 hours, while the cautious anticipation prevails the area anticipating the developments of the situation between both of them, where on Thursday the 2nd of November 2017; the procedure of forming the “National Rescue Government” are completed by approving the ministers selected to receive their duties in the Government by the head of Government Dr. Mohammed al-Sheikh, and this Government will administer the areas controlled by the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Idlib Province, the western and southern countryside of Aleppo,  the northern and northeastern countryside of Hama, and the northern countryside of Latakia, provided that all official institutions and circles will be attached to this Government. Reliable sources in the Government confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Government has no relation with Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, on the contrary; it has emerged as a powerful authority within the areas controlled by the factions, despite the presence of the Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham which controls vast portions of Idlib Province, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Saturday the 7th of October 2017 that a meeting took place at Bab-Hawa border crossing between Idlib province and the Iskenderun, the meeting was organized by Syrian opponents in the Syrian interior, from which a “National Rescue Government” was formed, the meeting included opponents from several Syrian areas during which a President of the National Rescue Government was elected, he is the Dr. Mohammed al-Sheikh of Idlib Province, and the election of the Government came after holding the General Syrian Conference from which a founding body emerged and after that the preparation started for the National Rescue Government, whose president was elected today, and the reliable sources confirmed that the members, offices and work of this Government will be in the Syrian interior. The sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Government opposes the Turkish – Russian –Iranian intervention in the Syrian interior, and opposes the fighting between the rebel factions and movements operating on Syrian soil, while the process of announcing the Government and electing its President comes in conjunction with the Turkish – Russian –Iranian movements in preparation for a military operation in Idlib Province.
