With a cover of heavy fire…the regime forces fight desperately to take the control of a strategic hill in Idlib countryside enables them to have wide monitoring and firearm control

The regime forces are fighting desperately in order to advance and take the control of more villages inside the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, backed by a cover of violent aerial and land shelling, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent fighting started this morning between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in an attempt by the regime forces to achieve advancement in the area, and to take the control of the hill and the village of Al-Aghar, near Al-Rweideh village which the regime forces controlled yesterday after a violent attack on the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas, where the regime forces are trying to take the control of the strategic hill, and if the regime forces manage to take the control of it, then it will enable the regime forces to monitor wide areas in its vicinity, in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and it will also enable the regime forces to control villages in Sinjar District in Idlib countryside by firearm, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of positions advancing towards the strategic hill, while the warplanes carried out raids targeted Abu Dali area and other areas in Al-Rahjan town the birthplace of the regime’s Minister of Defense.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the southeastern countryside of Idlib witnesses violent battles between the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayaat Tahrir Al-sham as a result of a new attack by the regime forces, through which they aim to go deep into the administrative borders of Idlib province, and the SOHR monitored the regime forces controlling the village of Al-Rwaida.
