Fierce clashes and a violent attack by the regime forces and their allies in Hama and Idlib countryside and intensive shelling accompanies their advancement and control over more areas

More casualties raise the death toll to 20 persons in the eastern and the southern countryside of Idlib due to the ongoing shelling since yesterday

 

Idlib and Hama countryside are witnessing continuation of the intensive and violent aerial and artillery shelling, as the warplanes and helicopters escalated their shelling with the start of the fierce clashes again between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in which the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Al-Mshirfah, the areas of Al- Katiba  Al-Mahjoura and Tal Al-Aswad and the villages of Ras al-Ayn  and Qubaybat Om al-Huda, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed to achieve advancement and that they are trying to hold their advancement in the areas in Al- Katiba  Al-Mahjoura and Tal Al-Aswad, amid intensive and violent shelling on the clash areas between the both parties, while the clashes are taking place inside the villages of Ras al-Ayn  and Qubaybat Om al-Huda in an attempt by the regime forces to complete their control over the both villages and hold their control in the area, after they controlled during the past few days and weeks over the villages and the areas of al-Hawiyyah, Al-Rweideh, al-Syriatel Hill, Al-Shatib, Al-Zafriyyah, Al-Blil, Um Khazim, Um Trikiyyeh, Rajm al-Ahmar, Al-Shahatiyyah, Al-Mestriha, Jub Abyad, Rasm Abu Mayyal, Rasm Al-Sawwan, Rasm Al-Sawi, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm Al-Tina, Abu Laffah, Al-Mshirfah, Jwi’eid, Hasrat, Khirbat Al-Rahjan, Hasnawi, Mweileh Shamali, Qasr Ali , Qasr Shawi, Tal Mahsar, Al-Rabiaa, Duma, Rabda, Hazem, Arafa, Mrijeb al-Jamlan, Al-Khefyeh, Sham Al Hawa, Al Rahraha, Sarha, Abu Al-Gher, Hasnawi and Baghidid.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored that the warplanes carried out intensive raids with violent shelling by the regime’s helicopters and the regime forces by explosive barrels, missiles and artillery and rocket shells, in which the warplanes, the regime’s helicopters and the regime forces targeted Khan Shaykhun city, in the southern countryside of Idlib, which resulted in the fall of wounded and the death of 2 persons including a member of the Civil Defense, as a result of targeting the medical point in Khan Shaykhun, and the regime forces shelled areas in Kafr Zita town, while the warplanes raided on areas in Al-Taman’aa town, accompanied by other shelling targeted several places in the area extended from the northern countryside of Hama to the eastern countryside of Idlib, thus the death toll has increased to 20 persons including 4 children and 4 citizen women who were killed during the past 24 hours, due to the aerial and artillery shelling in areas in the southern, the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, where it targeted places in Khan Shaykhun, Tel Emara, Jarjnaz, Al-Taman’aa, Al-Zafr Camp, Tell Touqan and Sheikh Baraka, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions.

 

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that it monitored that several warplanes carried out intensive raids simultaneously targeting the villages of Al-Jninah, al-Mluleh, Al-Maslokhia, Al-Hamra, Jib Al-Sokkar, Um Haratayn and Al-Hamdania in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and villages in Sinjar Township and the areas of Zaytuneh, Abu Dali, Al-Mshirfah, Tama, Dajaj, Rasm Elabed, Sukayk, Al-Taman’aa, Al-Khwaiyn, Tal Al-Aghar, and other places in the area extended from the northern section of Hama to the eastern countryside of Idlib, and the bombardment was accompanied by artillery shelling on areas in Al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama, and other places in Al-Taman’aa town in the southern countryside of Idlib, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that this bombardment was carried out by the regime forces with their warplanes, helicopters, shells and missiles on the southern, the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib as well as the northern and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, backed by squadrons of Russian warplanes which take part in the bombardment, following two main events, the first was the arrival of military reinforcements of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in Hama and Idlib countryside to take part in the combat operations, and assigning the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger” to lead the operation, and he is known for using aircraft intensively in the preliminary and combat operations, and he was the owner of the theory of explosive barrels which caused damage in large parts to the infrastructure, buildings, property and public facilities in Aleppo city and its countryside in addition to his operations in Hama, Al-Raqqah or even in Palmyra and the eastern countryside of Homs or in Deir Ezzor, and the second was the attack that was carried out by the rebel and Islamic factions on Zilaqiat area in the northern countryside of Hama, which lasted for only few hours as the regime forces managed to absorb the attack and they regained the control of the areas they lost in the north of Hama, followed by hysterical intensive shelling that has continued since the 17th of December 2017.
