Pilot of the warplane that was shot down southeast of Idlib Province is killed, mystery surrounds the other pilot’s fate just before helicopters of the regime and Russia were able to reach and rescue them

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the pilot of the warplane that was shot down in the southeastern countryside of Idlib adjacent to the northeastern countryside of Hama was killed, and his body was pulled by the factions operating in the area, while the mystery still surrounds the fate of the second pilot, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights from several intersecting sources: after the fall of the warplane in the area the pilots have reached the ground alive, they flee in the area and were chased, they tried to hide waiting to be rescued by the Russian and regime’s warplanes, and the warplanes went on an alert state trying to reach both pilots before one of them was killed, while the fate of the second pilot is still unknown, and confirmed information about capturing him by the factions, also was the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that the regime forces before knowing the fate of the pilots gave instruction to intensify the shelling on the aforementioned area, in conjunction with the flight of the helicopters on a low altitude, trying to search for them and rescue them before being killed or captured, but the factions were able to find them just before the regime forces were able to evacuate them from the area.

Several reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the factions operating in the southeastern countryside of Idlib and northeastern countryside of Hama; have targeted a warplane during its flight over the area of the violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the warplane was seen falling in an area southeast of Idlib near Hamdaniya and Tal Maraq, also SOHR received information about capturing the warplanes’ crew.
