The regime forces and their allies advance again northeast of Hama and in Idlib countryside after a counter attack supported by shelling, tens of people were killed and wounded in the clashes and shelling

The northeastern countryside of Hama and the southeastern countryside of Idlib have witnessed continued violent clashes between the attacking regime forces and gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, as a result of a counterattack by the regime forces through which they were able to advance again in most of the areas they lost afternoon of today after a counter attack by the factions, a few hours after expelling the factions of it, the violent clashes were accompanied by heavy and intense mortar, artillery, tank shells as well as missiles and raids by warplanes and helicopters, amid intense targeting in the clash areas. The clashes have caused heavy casualties in the ranks of both parties, where tens were killed and wounded of both parties, and at least 8 fighters of the factions were confirmed killed these clashes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the shelling escalates after taking down a warplanes in the sky of the clash areas near Al-Hamdaniyah area, in which a pilot officer is killed while the fate of the other is not known so far.

heavy  aerial shelling is taking place on areas extending from the northern countryside of  Hama to the eastern  countryside of Idlib, leaving more causalities, where 5 fighters of Al-Modatat brigade in Jaysh Al-Izza, whose ages are 18 years old, were killed in airstrikes on Al-Latmnah area, while it rose to at least 22 people, including 4 children and 4 women, who were killed since Monday afternoon until the moment in the airstrikes on Umm Muwailat, Rasm al-Abd, Khan Shaykhoun, Tal al-Touqan, Sheikh Baraka, Zafra refugee camp, Tal Emara, and the death toll is expected to increase as there is information about more martyrs and several injured in serious conditions.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that it has monitored since morning, Monday the 25th of December 2017, that the warplanes carried out more than 75 raids in conjunction with bombardment by about 100 explosive barrels carried out by the regime’s helicopters, and the bombardment targeted Khan Shaykhun, Saraqeb, Tal Mardikh, Sukayk, Al-Taman’aa, Al-Khwaiyn, Sheikh Baraka, Sinjar Township, Abu Dali, Al-Mshirfah, Abu Al-Duhur, Tell Touqan, Kafr Amim, Tel Ammar, and Tell Maraq in the southern, the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, and Qubaybat, Um Haratayn, Atshan, Dajaj and Al-Lataminah in the northern and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and the intensive bombardment caused the death of 6 citizens including 3 women and 2 children who were killed in the raids which targeted Tel Emara, , Al-Zafr Camp, Tell Touqan and Sheikh Baraka, and the bombardment resulted in the fall of a large number of wounded of fighters and citizens, and this bombardment was carried out by the regime forces with their warplanes, helicopters, shells and missiles on the southern, the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib as well as the northern and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, backed by squadrons of Russian warplanes which take part in the bombardment, following two main events, the first was the arrival of military reinforcements of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in Hama and Idlib countryside to take part in the combat operations, and assigning the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger” to lead the operation, and he is known for using aircraft intensively in the preliminary and combat operations, and he was the owner of the theory of explosive barrels which caused damage in large parts to the infrastructure, buildings, property and public facilities in Aleppo city and its countryside in addition to his operations in Hama, Al-Raqqah or even in Palmyra and the eastern countryside of Homs or in Deir Ezzor, and the second was the attack that was carried out by the rebel and Islamic factions on Zilaqiat area in the northern countryside of Hama, which lasted for only few hours as the regime forces managed to absorb the attack and they regained the control of the areas they lost in the north of Hama, followed by hysterical intensive shelling that has continued since the 17th of December 2017.
