Several helicopters shell intensively and simultaneously Idlib and Hama countryside and the regime forces are continuing their violent attack and advance backed by their allies and a cover of intensive shelling

Violent fighting is taking place between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian nationalities and their allies of non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the fighting is concentrated in the vicinity of Um Haratayn area which the regime forces are trying to take the control of it in order to achieve further advancement in the area, go deep into the south-eastern countryside of Idlib and minimize the factions and Tahrir Al-sham scope of control, and the intensity of the clashes escalated since yesterday the 26th of December 2017, following a violent attack by the regime forces and their allies led by the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger” who was assigned to lead the operation in Idlib and Hama countryside, amid advancement by the regime forces in the area and the control of more positions that used to be controlled by the factions.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent and intensive shelling by the regime forces, which targeted areas in Atshan, Al-Latmnah and other areas in Um Haratayn and the vicinity of the clash area, and the area extended from the northern countryside of Hama to the eastern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with raids carried out by the warplanes on Um Haratayn, al-Mluleh and Jib Al-Sokkar and intensive bombardment by 6 warplanes simultaneously and successively on the areas of al-Mluleh, Um Haratayn, Al-Mshirfah, Al-Hamdania, abd other areas in Idlib and Hama countryide, while places in the areas of al-Shakuziyyeh, Om Mayyal and Al-Rahjan, were shelled intensively by tanks, artillery and mortar shells, by the regime forces, while the factions targeted places in the areas of Tal Al-Aswad Ras al-Ayn and Qubaybat Om al-Huda, which the regime forces controlled during the past 24 hours after hit-and-run clashes and counter attacks between them against the factions, through which they managed to advance and increase their scope of control in Hama and Idlib countryside, and they control the villages and the towns of Tal Al-Aswad Ras al-Ayn, Qubaybat Om al-Huda,al-Hawiyyah, Al-Rweideh, al-Syriatel Hill, Al-Shatib, Al-Zafriyyah, Al-Blil, Um Khazim, Um Trikiyyeh, Rajm al-Ahmar, Al-Shahatiyyah, Al-Mestriha, Jub Abyad, Rasm Abu Mayyal, Rasm Al-Sawwan, Rasm Al-Sawi, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm Al-Tina, Abu Laffah, Al-Mshirfah, Jwi’eid, Hasrat, Khirbat Al-Rahjan, Hasnawi, Mweileh Shamali, Qasr Ali , Qasr Shawi, Tal Mahsar, Al-Rabiaa, Duma, Rabda, Hazem, Arafa, Mrijeb al-Jamlan, Al-Khefyeh, Sham Al Hawa, Al Rahraha, Sarha, Abu Al-Gher, Hasnawi and Baghidid.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that he warplanes and helicopters returned to fly this morning the 27th of December 2017, over Idlib and Hama countryside, in conjunction with bombing areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions in the both countryside by missiles and explosive barrels, in which the helicopters dropped explosive barrels in an escalated way, in conjunction with bombardment by the warplanes on places in the villages of Al-Khwaiyn, Um Haratayn, Al-Hamdania, and other areas in the both countryside, and the regime forces shelled after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday, areas in Al-Taman’aa town and the villages of Abu Dali and Atshan as well as other areas, in the north-east of Hama and the south of Idlib, and this shelling comes as a revenge for shooting down a warplane yesterday and killing the pilot after he landed in areas out of the control of the regime forces, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that this bombardment which was carried out by the regime forces with their warplanes, helicopters, shells and missiles on the southern, the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib as well as the northern and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, backed by squadrons of Russian warplanes which take part in the bombardment, came after two main events, the first was the arrival of military reinforcements of the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in Hama and Idlib countryside to take part in the combat operations, and assigning the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger” to lead the operation, and he is known for using aircraft intensively in the preliminary and combat operations, and he was the owner of the theory of explosive barrels which caused damage in large parts to the infrastructure, buildings, property and public facilities in Aleppo city and its countryside in addition to his operations in Hama, Al-Raqqah or even in Palmyra and the eastern countryside of Homs or in Deir Ezzor, and the second was the attack that was carried out by the rebel and Islamic factions on Zilaqiat area in the northern countryside of Hama, which lasted for only few hours as the regime forces managed to absorb the attack and they regained the control of the areas they lost in the north of Hama, followed by hysterical intensive shelling that has continued since the 17th of December 2017.
