About 7 weeks after the attack on the Vehicle Department…Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham detonates a booby trapped vehicle and supports Ahrar Al-Sham in a violent attack in the outskirts of Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham backed by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, carried out an attack on positions of the regime forces in Al-Ajmi area related to Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and which is controlled by the regime forces, near the Military Vehicle Department, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored violent clashes which are taking place between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which the factions are trying to advance in the area at the expense of the regime forces, and the clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces on Harasta city and its vicinity, while a violent explosion rocked the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and the east of the capital, caused by detonating a booby trapped vehicle by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in Al-Ajmi area, and information about human losses and wounded in the ranks of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them.

And this violent detonation comes about 7 weeks after the movement of Ahrar Al-Sham started their violent attack on the Military Vehicle Department near Harasta city controlled by the Movement, through which it managed to advance and enter inside the Vehicle Department, after violent clashes and intensive shelling during which tens of members in the ranks of the both parties have been killed, since the 14th of November 2017.
