More than 16 fighters were killed including Libyan leader in an attack by Syrian and non-Syrian group on the regime’s position in Turkmen Mountain

Lattakia province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the SOHR learned that the rebel and Islamic factions operation in Lattakia Mountain, carried out an attack on the regime forces position in Turkmen Mountain in the northern countryside of Lattakia, where the attack was carried out by group of fighters including several fighters of non-Syrian nationalities, and the group attacked positions of the regime forces  in Ain Al-Ashra area, which caused human losses in the ranks of the regime forces and their allied militiamen as well as the ranks of the attacking fighters.

The Syrian Observatory documented at least five fighters, including several non-Syrian fighters, one of whom was a Libyan leader, and others were injured, while more than 11 members of the regime forces were killed and injured in this attack. Areas in Turkmen Mountain and Kurds Mountain in the countryside of Lattakia witnessed during the past few days an exchange of shelling and targeting between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against the rebel and Islamic factions, of which its violent paces varied from time to another.

The SOHR monitored the declining pace of battles between the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham against the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, following violent battles between both parties, through which the regime forces managed to control Atshan area and reach to an area 12 km east of Khan Shaykhon in the southern countryside of Idlib, and they also controlled Al-Salmuya and Al-Gadoia and Tel Zater in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, and this violent battles was accompanied by ongoing aerial and missile shelling that caused confirmed human losses in the ranks of both parties.
