A massacre in Harasta by the aerial bombardment and artillery and rocket shelling in the Eastern Ghouta leaving about 20 casualties, about half of them are children and women and injure tens of others
Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: al-Marj area which is controlled by Jaysh al-Islam is witnessing the return of calm, after violent clashes since morning between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Jaysh al-Islam, in areas in the vicinity of al-Bilaliyah, al-Qasimiyah, Hazrama and al-Nashabiyah, amid advancement by the regime forces in 3 points represented by controlling 5 farms, then fighters of Jaysh al-Islam took control of one of them, the clashes have caused the death of 2 fighters and the injury of 5 others, while several members of the regime forces were killed and other members were injured as well, while a boy and a retired officer of the regime forces were killed, and others were injured in the fall of shells on areas in Alassad Suburb opposite to Harasta city, and more citizens were killed in the Eastern Ghouta which rose to while it rose to 19 at least, the number of people were killed today in the aerial bombardment and artillery shelling on cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta which caused a massacre, and the casualties are 13 citizens including 5 children, a woman and a male nurse, they were killed in the air raids by warplanes on areas in Harasta city, while 6 citizens including an elderly woman and a girl were killed in shelling by the regime forces on areas in the towns of Otaya, KafrBatna, Al-Nashabiyah and Mesraba, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of dozens of injured people, including about 25 children and women, some of whom are still serious conditions, rising to 246 civilians who were killed in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, including 59 children under the age of eighteen, 29 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 4 members of the Civil Defense, since the 14th of November 2017, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 146 citizens including 30 children and 17 citizen women by the raids carried out by the warplanes, while the SOHR documented the death of 100 citizens including 29 children and 12 citizen women due to shelling by artillery, mortar and tanks, as well as shelling by missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the injury of more than 813 persons including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have amputated limbs and permanent disabilities, while the others are still suffering serious wounds suffering from the lack of the medical staff and the shortage of medicine, as a result of the continuous siege imposed on the Eastern Ghouta.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past hours the warplanes carrying out renewed raids that targeted areas in the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta, rising to at least 60, the number of raids targeting areas in the city of Harasta, which is controlled by Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, and the city of Arbin, which is controlled by al-Rahman Corps, and other places in Al-Marj area, which is controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam, while the raids are accompanied by tens of shells of artillery and missile, believed to ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces on the cities and towns of Harasta, KafrBatna, Otaya, Al-Nashabiyah, Hosh Al-Salhiya, Al-Bilaliyah, and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta.
