After besieging the vehicle Department, intense air and artillery strikes target the Eastern Ghouta along with violent clashes

Rif Dimashq province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: aerial and rocket bombardment continue on areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where more shells launched by the factions and landed on places in Alassad Suburb which is under the control of the regime forces near Harasta and caused injuries, while warplanes carried out more airstrikes on areas in Harasta city, its outskirts and vicinity, rising to about 40, the number of raids that targeted the area since this morning, also the violent clashes continue in places in the Vehicle Department, its surroundings and outskirts, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the clashes continue violently between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them –who are trapped in the Vehicle Department– against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Rahman Corps in the vicinity of the Vehicle Department near Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta, in a continuous attack by the factions on the area in order to control the Vehicle Department and inflict the largest casualties in the ranks of the regime forces to force them to surrender, where the violent clashes are accompanied by intense and heavy shelling by the regime forces and warplanes, targeting by tens of rockets, missiles and raids Harasta city and the towns of Douma, Arbin, KafrBatna and Madyara and other areas in the besieged Ghouta, which caused more casualties and rose to 8 at least; the number of people who were killed today in Douma city, Harasta city, and the towns of Madyara and KafrBatna.

And with the death of more citizens the death toll has increased to 35 citizens including 9 children and 3 citizen women, due to the aerial, artillery and rocket shelling on cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta since the day before yesterday, and the casualties are 22 citizens including 6 children, 2 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, and 13 citizens including 3 children and a citizen woman were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Harasta and Hamuriya cities as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented further casualties in the ranks of the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham, as well as members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where it rose to 21 at least, the number of killed members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them -including a brigadier general-, and also it rose to 26, the number of fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions including fighter of Gulf nationality who blew himself up in a booby trapped vehicle, also tens of both parties were injured in the aerial, ground shelling as well as the accompanying clashes and targeting.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that it monitored the factions being enable to besiege the Vehicle Department, amid continuous violent attack in an attempt by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, Ahrar al-Sham and Rahman Corps to achieve more advancement, following the advancement of Rahman Corps in Arbin area, while both of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham have advanced in al-Ajami area and surrounded the regime forces inside the Vehicle Department, after closing by firearm the remaining distance between the advancement of both parties; to prevent the regime forces from entering supplies or withdrawing of it.

The violent clashes are accompanied by heavy artillery and rocket shelling by tens of shells and missiles by the regime forces, in conjunction with violent and intense raids targeted the clash areas, the vicinity of the Department and other areas in Harasta city and its outskirts, amid intense targeting in the contact areas between the factions and the regime forces, where it rose to 50 at least, the number of raids that targeted Harasta city, the cities of Douma and Arbin and the towns of Mesraba and Madyara and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, in conjunction with massive shelling by tens of missiles and shells on areas in the Eastern Ghouta.
