Shelling by tens of shells targets areas controlled by the regime forces in the districts of the capital and intensive ground and aerial targeting hits the Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: several shells fell after the midnight of Sunday – Monday, on areas in Jaramana District controlled by the regime forces, while more shells fell on places in Al-Assad District controlled by the regime forces in Harasta in the Eastern Ghouta, raising the number of shells which has fallen on Al-Assad District since yesterday morning until yesterday after the midnight to 50 shells, resulting in the fall of several wounded.

And in the same context, the regime forces have fired tens of shells on areas in Harasta city and its vicinity, since after the midnight of Sunday – Monday and until this moment, in conjunction with carrying out about 5 raids by warplanes on places in Harasta, while 2 shells fired by the regime forces fell this morning on 2 areas in Otaya town, the regime forces also shelled yesterday after the midnight, areas in Arbin city in the Eastern Ghouta by about 20 shells, resulted in the fall of wounded including a child girl, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night, that aerial and rocket bombardment continue on areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where more shells launched by the factions and landed on places in Alassad Suburb which is under the control of the regime forces near Harasta and caused injuries, while warplanes carried out more airstrikes on areas in Harasta city, its outskirts and vicinity, rising to about 40, the number of raids that targeted the area since this morning, also the violent clashes continue in places in the Vehicle Department, its surroundings and outskirts, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, where the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the clashes continue violently between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them –who are trapped in the Vehicle Department– against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Rahman Corps in the vicinity of the Vehicle Department near Harasta city in the Eastern Ghouta, in a continuous attack by the factions on the area in order to control the Vehicle Department and inflict the largest casualties in the ranks of the regime forces to force them to surrender, where the violent clashes are accompanied by intense and heavy shelling by the regime forces and warplanes, targeting by tens of rockets, missiles and raids Harasta city and the towns of Douma, Arbin, KafrBatna and Madyara and other areas in the besieged Ghouta, which caused more casualties and rose to 8 at least; the number of people who were killed today in Douma city, Harasta city, and the towns of Madyara and KafrBatna, and with the death of more citizens the death toll has increased to 35 citizens including 9 children and 3 citizen women, due to the aerial, artillery and rocket shelling on cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta since the day before yesterday, and the casualties are 22 citizens including 6 children, 2 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, and 13 citizens including 3 children and a citizen woman were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Harasta and Hamuriya cities as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented further casualties in the ranks of the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham, as well as members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where it rose to 21 at least, the number of killed members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them -including a brigadier general-, and also it rose to 26, the number of fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions including fighter of Gulf nationality who blew himself up in a booby trapped vehicle, also tens of both parties were injured in the aerial, ground shelling as well as the accompanying clashes and targeting.
