Continuous clashes near Harasta in the Eastern Ghouta and the factions advance in points in the area, the death toll rises to 46 civilians since the start of the attack

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Rahman Corps in areas near Harasta city, the clashes were concentrated near the bus garage and the Governorate Building and in the vicinity of the Vehicle Department, where the factions managed to advance in the area and to control more points which used to be controlled by the regime forces, and some of which were located in crossfire area between both parties, and the clashes were accompanied by continuous artillery and rocket shelling between both parties and by shelling by the regime forces on areas controlled by the faction in Harasta, while Jaysh al-Islam carried out an attack targeting the regime forces in al-Zriqah area in the Eastern Ghouta, accompanied by intense rocket shelling on the locations of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, after which violent clashes took place between both parties, and information about casualties in their ranks.

In the same context, it rose to 8, the number of persons who were killed today in the Eastern Ghouta they were: a man and 2 of his children and their grandmother were killed in raids carried out by warplanes on areas in Harasta city, and a male nurse died affected by an injury he had in shelling by the regime forces on Arbin city, and 2 men were killed in shelling by the regime forces on areas in Douma city, and a man died affected by injury he had in shelling by the regime forces on KafrBatna town,  thus, the death toll has increased to 46 citizens including 11 children and 4 citizen women, who were killed due to the aerial, artillery and rocket shelling on cities and town in the Eastern Ghouta since Saturday the 29th of December 2017 and until now, and the casualties are 26 citizens including 8 children, 3 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town, and 20 citizens including 3 children and a citizen woman were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
