About 48 hours after leaving his office…the violent clashes renew in the vicinity of the former regime’s Minister of Defense
Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: areas in Al-Anz village near Qasr Ibn Wardan area in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, were shelled by the regime forces, which resulted in material damage, and the injury of a number of citizens, and the warplanes targeted areas in villages of Al-Hamra Township in the north-eastern countryside of Hama intensively, in which they targeted Zughayr, Jib Al-Sokkar, Al-Jazdaniyya, Qasr Ibn Wardan, Al-Jninah and other areas in Al-Hamra Township, but no information about casualties was reported.
In the same context, the violent fighting renewed between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the vicinity of al-Shakuziyyeh village and the vicinity of Al-Rahjan town, in an attack and an attempt by the regime forces to advance and control the village located at the outskirts of Al-Rahjan town, and the town which is the birthplace of the regime’s Minister of Defense Fahd Jassem al-Freij, who left office by presidential decree two days ago, after General Ali Ayoub was appointed as the new Minister of Defense, in which the former Minister of Defense Fahd Al-Farij, who comes from the northeast of Hama, got dismissed from office after the regime forces failed many times to restore the hometown of Al-Farij, the town of Al-Rahjan, located in the northeastern countryside of Hama, which came out of the regime’s control in the mid of July 2014, where it was controlled by Al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda organization in the Levant) at that time, while the clashes are accompanied by exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, and intensive aerial, artillery and rocket shelling, amid information about human losses in the ranks of the both parties.
