Airstrikes renew targeting the Eastern Ghouta with rocket shelling on areas in it

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes renewed their bombardment after the midnight of Sunday – Monday, on areas in Arbin city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, amid renewing the rocket shelling on places in Harasta city and its outskirts, without information about causing casualties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting areas in Arbin city, causing the injury of at least 16 persons, rising to at least 10, the number of airstrikes that targeted areas in Arbin city, while it rose to at least 41, the number of airstrikes that targeted areas in Harasta city, its outskirts and its vicinity, rising to about 190, the number of airstrikes, missiles, shells, that targeted areas in the Eastern Ghouta on Sunday, where the regime forces shelled areas in the outskirts of the city of Hamuriyah by third shells, where the regime forces fired 5 shells at places in Al-Zarikia town in Al-Marj area in the Eastern Ghouta, amid targeting on an area in Kafrbatna town by one shell, in addition to at least 41 airstrikes that targeted areas in Harasta city, in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces on areas in Harasta city and its outskirts by more than 30 shells, rising to at least 80, the numbers of shells that targeted Harasta city today, amid shelling by more than 45 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces on areas in Harasta city, in addition to 3 airstrikes carried out by warplanes on areas in Douma city.

 

These airstrikes were resulted in the death and injury of people, where the SOHR documented that death of 24 citizens on Sunday and Saturday; they are 2 martyrs who were killed on Sunday. They are a child who was killed in airstrikes on Arbin city, and a man who was killed in airstrikes on Douma city, while 5 citizens were killed in Hamuriya city, rising to 17, the number of martyrs in a massacre of Hamuriya city that was carried out by warplanes on Saturday including 5 children and 6 women, in addition to 5 martyrs, who were killed in Arbin city and Madyra town, the aerial shelling that took place today and yesterday left tens of people injured with different severity, where the death toll is expected to increase because of the presence of several injured in serious conditions.

 

Thus, the death toll has increased to 103 citizens including 24 children and 23 citizen women, who have been killed since the 29th of December 2017 and until now, and the casualties are 78 citizens including 19 children, 20 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town, and 25 citizens including 5 children and 3 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
