More casualties raise today’s death toll to 23 at least in the air and artillery shelling, and raise the total death toll of the Eastern Ghouta to 126 in 11 days of escalation

The number of casualties continues to rise in the Eastern Ghouta as a result of the death of more citizens, as well as the continued shelling on areas in its cities and towns, where it rose to 23 citizens including 6 children and 4 citizen women, the number of people killed today, and the casualties are: 12 citizens including 3 citizen women and 3 children (including a woman and her 3 children) were killed by bombardment by warplanes and artillery shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 7 of them including a woman and her 3 children in the raids that targeted Douma, which is considered the stronghold of Jaysh al-Islam, while the other 5 (including 2 women) were killed in the artillery shelling on the same town, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are about 30 wounded people some of them are in critical situation, where the regime forces targeted the city by more than 28 artillery shells, also, it rose to 4, the number of people who were killed in the rocket and artillery shelling on Saqba city, in addition to 3 casualties including a child were killed in an airstrike targeted Madyara town, and a citizen woman was killed in shelling by the regime forces on Hammuriyyeh city, and 3 including a female child were died affected by injuries they had yesterday in raids by warplanes targeted areas in the cities of Arbin and Douma and in Madyara town, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.

Warplanes have also carried out about 38 consecutive raids since the morning of today, Monday, targeting areas in Harasta city which is controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, where its surroundings are witnessing clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and Rahman Corps, where the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of the Vehicle Department and near the Governorate Building and on other areas.

Thus, the death toll has increased to 126 citizens including 29 children and 28 citizen women, who have been killed since the 29th of December 2017 and until now, and the casualties are 91 citizens including 24 children, 22 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town, and 35 citizens including 5 children and 6 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
