A violent explosion hits a location of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in al-Mayadin city west of Euphrates River

A violent explosion shook at the sunset of today, Thursday, the 11th of January  2018 Al-Mayadin city, which was controlled by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities with Russian support in mid-October 2017. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the explosion targeted a military point belongs to the regime forces at the outskirts of al-Mayadin city west of Euphrates River, and the explosion have killed members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, some of the body parts of the members were seen scattered at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite to al-Mayadin city.

It worth mentioning that in the past weeks and months al-Mayadin city has witnessed targeting by the “Islamic State” organization against gatherings of the regime forces at its outskirts and surroundings, which killed and injured tens of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.
