In conjunction with clashes of Jaysh al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham against the regime in Ghouta, shelling causes 4 casualties -mostly children- in an area controlled by Rahman Corps

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces continue their daily killings of people of the besieged Ghouta, by the artillery shelling or the air raids, increasing the death toll each day, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces targeting by a shell an area in Hamuriya city’s farms which is controlled by Rahman Corps, killing 4 citizens at least including 3 children and injuring others, which may raise the death toll, thus, the death toll has increased to 178 citizens including 51 children and 38 citizen women, of who were killed since the 29th of December 2017 as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 126 citizens including 40 children, 31 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin, and 52 citizens including 11 children and 7 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.

Also the regime forces launched 2 artillery shells on areas in Jesrin town and its outskirts, coincided with the continuation of raids by warplanes targeting areas in Harasta city, raising to at least 37, the number of raids that targeted the city, its outskirts and vicinity, in conjunction with the continuation of the violent clashes between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them against fighters of the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam, in places in the area between the towns of Douma and Harasta, after the continuation of attack by the regime forces supported by artillery and rocket shelling, also it Rose to 18 at least, the number of areas raids that targeted Arbin city, which caused more destruction in the property of citizens.

It is noteworthy that the ongoing violent clashes between the regime forces and the factions in the Eastern Ghouta, raised the number of the human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where it rose to at least 79 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, including 9 officers at least including 5 brigadiers and a colonel, who were killed in shelling and clashes in the Eastern Ghouta since the 29th of December 2017, while it rose to at least 94, the number of fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, Al-Rahman Corps, who were killed in the fronts of Vehicle Department, Province Building, and Air Intelligence vicinity, including a Saudi fighter who blew himself up in a booby trapped vehicle on the first day of the attack, which led to the siege of the Vehicle Department.
