Less than 6 km separate the regime forces advanced from Aleppo countryside to meet with their forces in the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase

After they controlled about 160 villages in Idlib and Aleppo countryside…the regime forces are seeking to impose a siege on more than 35 villages in 3 adjacent provinces

The combat operations in the eastern countryside of Idlib and the southern countryside of Aleppo, are continuing as a result of ongoing attack by the regime forces backed by their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in an attempt by the regime forces to achieve advancement leads to the control of large spaces at the expense of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which the intensive shelling, the continuous raids and the targeting by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, prevent it to hold its control and force it to withdraw from these villages successively.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during 20 days that the regime forces managed to achieve large advancement in the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib as well as the southern countryside of Aleppo adjacent them, where the regime forces and their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to impose their control over about 160 villages, in the eastern and the south-eastern sections of Idlib countryside, and the southern section of Aleppo countryside, since the escalation of their attack started on the 25th of December 2017, after the Brigadier in the regime forces Suhail Al-Hassan assigned to lead the military operation in Idlib countryside and until today, expanding their control at the expense of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and several repel and Islamic factions, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces used intensive firepower in their advancement, in which the regime forces depended on the intensive shelling by tanks, artillery and mortar shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, as well as bombardment by the regime’s helicopters and warplanes affiliated to the regime and Russia by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, which caused great material destruction to the infrastructure, and resulted in the death and the injury of tens of members in the ranks of the both parties.

The advancement in the southern countryside of Aleppo towards the eastern countryside of Idlib and Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase, reduced the distance between the advanced forces and the other forces located in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and a distance of only 6 kilometers still separates the both forces to meet, while these military operations in the area resulted in the displacement of tens of thousand of citizens from their villages and houses towards areas far from the shelling in the western countryside of Aleppo, and if the regime forces manage to reach their forces located in the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur Airbase in the eastern countryside of Idlib, then they will impose a siege over more than 35 villages stretched inside the adjacent administrative border of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.

While it is noteworthy that the number of the villages which have been controlled by the regime forces in the southern countryside of Aleppo, reached 39 villages they are: ((Kafr Ibish, Bluza, Ayoubiyyah, Qiqan, Mintar, Om Ankash, al-Salhiya, Burj Hussain Dahir, Tal Sawma’a, Jub Atnash Foqani, Jub Atnash Tahtani, Sahhur, al-Hardana, al-Asdiyah, Rasm al-Amish, Hawir al-Hess, al-Bannawi, Jub al-A’ama, al-Amiriya, Abu Jlous, Burj al-Sama, Tal Anbar, Abu Abdu, Alaf, Om Gharraf, Om Ghabr, Sbyha, Eytah, Om Sanabel, Om Khan, Om al-Amad Qebli, Hwarin, Ramleh, Mzi’eleh, Nawwarah, Rasm al-Sheikh, Tal al-Sabha, Tal Abu Rwayl and Abu Rwayl cemetery)), while the number of the villages and towns which have been controlled by the regime forces in the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, reached about 120 villages and towns they are: Al-Dabshiya, Talb, ((Al-Ja’kiyyah, Al-Hamidiyah, Hamidiyah Shaddad, Tel Salmo, Zafr Sagher, Zafar Kabir, Rasm Abed, Mera’aya, Al-Hisa, Om Jrin, Bayya’a Saghira, Bayya’a Kabira, Jub Abyad, Al-Bowayder, Aqlat Al-Bowayder, Raefah, Aziza, Rasm Nayas, Ras al-Ayn, Rasm Al-Jahsh, Om Tammakh, Rasm Al-Khshuf, Mbawas, Rasm Al-Burj, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm Al-Ayn, al-Jabriya, Khariba, Rasm Al-Ward, Harmla.
