The ongoing advancement of the regime force and their allies in Aleppo countryside expands their control to about 50 villages during 4 consecutive days of escalating the operations in the southern section of the province

The regime forces backed by their allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities are continuing their advancement in the southern countryside of Aleppo, controlling more villages which the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham successively withdraw from, as a result of the continuation of the intensive shelling by the regime forces on the villages which are still out of their control in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed during the past few hours to impose their control over 10 new villages, expanding their scope of control in the southern countryside of Aleppo, thus, it has increased to at least 49, the number of the villages which the regime forces controlled since the 10th of January 2018, and they are: ((Al-Safa, Tulul al-Safa, Kafr Kar, Banan, Umm Jurn, Al-Zira’aa, Burj Al-Rumman, Hofrat Al-Hass, Abu Ghatta, Jib Jassem, Kafr Ibish, Bluza, Ayoubiyyah, Qiqan, Mintar, Om Ankash, al-Salhiya, Burj Hussain Dahir, Tal Sawma’a, Jub Atnash Foqani, Jub Atnash Tahtani, Sahhur, al-Hardana, al-Asdiyah, Rasm al-Amish, Hawir al-Hess, al-Bannawi, Jub al-A’ama, al-Amiriya, Abu Jlous, Burj al-Sama, Tal Anbar, Abu Abdu, Alaf, Om Gharraf, Om Ghabr, Sbyha, Eytah, Om Sanabel, Om Khan, Om al-Amad Qebli, Hwarin, Ramleh, Mzi’eleh, Nawwarah, Rasm al-Sheikh, Tal al-Sabha, Tal Abu Rwayl and Abu Rwayl cemetery)).

Also it has increased to about 170 villages, the number of the villages which the regime forces managed to control in the eastern and the south-eastern countryside of Idlib as well as the southern countryside of Aleppo adjacent them, in which the regime forces backed by their allies of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities imposed their control over these villages, since the start of the escalation of their attack on the 25th of December 2017, after the Brigadier in the regime forces Suhail Al-Hassan assigned to lead the military operation in Idlib countryside and until today, expanding their control at the expense of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and several repel and Islamic factions, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces used intensive firepower in their advancement, in which the regime forces depended on the intensive shelling by tanks, artillery and mortar shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, as well as bombardment by the regime’s helicopters and warplanes affiliated to the regime and Russia by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, which caused great material destruction to the infrastructure, and resulted in the death and the injury of tens of members in the ranks of the both parties.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today that the advancement in the southern countryside of Aleppo towards the eastern countryside of Idlib and Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase, reduced the distance between the advanced forces and the other forces located in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and a distance of only 6 kilometers still separates between the both forces, while these military operations in the area resulted in the displacement of tens of thousand of citizens from their villages and houses towards areas far from the shelling in the western countryside of Aleppo, and if the regime forces manage to reach their forces located in the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur Airbase in the eastern countryside of Idlib, then they will impose a siege over more than 35 villages stretched inside the adjacent administrative border of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib.
