Renewed airstrikes accompany the clashes and advancement operations of the factions in the countryside of Idlib

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Warplanes and helicopters carried out more airstrikes on areas in Idlib countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored them targeting areas in Khan Shaykhun city and other areas in Hersh Abdeen, Ferry, Ma’saran town, Meshrfeh Shmali, al-Ghadqa, Abu al-Duhur and other areas in the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib, which caused more damage and destruction to the property of citizens, no information about casualties, in conjunction with the clashes that started since morning between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic Turkestani Party, on areas in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, where the factions regained control of the villages of Rabiaa and Khribah and advanced in the villages of Zarzour and Om Khalakhil, in conjunction with continuous clashes in the areas of al-Sallumiyah and al-Jadu’eiyah, where the factions are trying to regain more areas to which the regime forces controlled over the past few days, while the Syrian Observatory for Human rights published hours ago that SOHR monitored the factions advancing today Saturday the 13th of January 2018,  and control the villages of Talab, Al-Dabshiya, al-Khawin, Tel Marq, Mushayrifa Shamali, and Tel Marq Silos, in conjunction with advancement in areas of Al-Zarzor, Umm Al-Khalakhil, and Al-Hamdamniya.

These clashes and the advancement of the factions during the rebel attacks, which have been ongoing, since more than 72 hours in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, coincided with shelling on Atshan villages and an attempt by the factions to advance in the area, in conjunction with heavy exchange of targeting between both parties in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, amid aerial shelling by helicopters and warplanes on the area, which left more human losses in the ranks of both parties, in addition to the members of the regime forces who were captured by the factions. The SOHR documented the death of shelling of at least 140 members and fighters of the regime forces and the factions, since Wednesday the 14th of January, where it rose to 73 members at least, including 4 officers at least including 3 colonels, one of which was close to Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, while it rose to at least 67, the number of fighters of the factions, including 5 leaders who were killed in the same clashes and shelling, also tens of both parties were injured with varying severity, while 31 members at least of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were captured.
