Tens of missiles and aerial shelling leave more causality raising the death toll to about 190 within 17 days of escalation of shelling on the Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the SOHR monitored violent clashes taking place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam in areas in Hazrama farms and the vicinity of Hosh Al-Dawahra in Al-Marj area in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, following an attack carried out by the regime forces in order to advance in the area, amid shelling by the regime forces on the clash area. The regime forces also fired 8 shells at areas in Douma city, leaving at least 3 citizens injured, while one citizens was killed and 5 others were injured in 3 airstrikes on areas in the city of Arbin, which is controlled by Al-Rahman Corps, where the regime forces also fired 2 shells at areas in Hamuriyah town, and a citizens was killed in shelling by the regime forces which fired 5 shells at areas in Al-Nashabiyah town, while a child was died today affected by injuries he received earlier in airstrike on areas in Madyira town. The regime forces also fired 6 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground at areas in Hosh Al-Salihiya, Hazrama, in conjunction with firing one shell on an area in Otaya town.

It rose to at least 11, the number of airstrikes that were carried out by warplanes today on areas in Harasta city, which is controlled by Ahrar Al-sham Islamic Movement, causing the injury of 6 people, in conjunction with firing 5 shells at areas in the city, leaving 2 persons killed, and 7 others injured. Thus, the death toll has increased to 189 citizens including 53 children and 39 citizen women, of who were killed since the 29th of December 2017 as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 128 citizens including 41 children, 31 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin, and 61 citizens including 12 children and 8 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
