Continuous airstrikes accompany the clashes between the regime forces and the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the countryside of Idlib
Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continue violently between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, in areas in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, amid advancement by the regime forces in the area and regaining control of one village at least, and the clashes are accompanied by intense exchange of shelling between both parties, in conjunction with continuous shelling by helicopter on areas in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, and information about injuries, also the continued shelling caused more destruction in the property of citizens.
The Syrian Observatory monitored yesterday the regime forces regaining control of 2 villages of which the factions, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the Islamic Turkestani Party controlled hours ago. And with regime’s re-control of these two villages, the factions remain in control of 20 villages and area, they are: (Zafar Sagher, Zafar Kabir, Al-Hisa, Tel Salmo, Talab, Al-Dabshiya, Suruj, Al-Khawin, Tel Marq, Mushayrifa Shamali, Al-Jad’aniyya, Al-Lobayda, Umm Al-Khalakhil, Khariba, Rabia, Tell Khaznah, Al-Zarzor, Al-Hussein Farms, Stablat, Rasm Al-Ward), also it rose to 201 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and the factions, who have been killed since Wednesday evening, the 10th of January, 2018, where it rose to 94, the number of members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, including 6 officers and 3 of them are Brigadier Generals, and one of them is close to Suhail Al-Hassan, also it rose to at least 107 fighters of the factions, including 6 commanders, the number of fighters who were killed in the same clashes. The death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured persons in serious conditions, and the factions managed to capture 31 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, in addition to tens of members of Turkestan Islamic Movement, who were also killed in the latest battles.
