After his fight in Afghanistan and Pakistan and being imprisoned in Egypt…an Egyptian commander dies years after joining “Al Qaeda in the Levant”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of an Arab commander in Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham who was killed during the ongoing clashes between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham against the regime forces as the latter seek to reach Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase from areas in Idlib and other opposite areas in Aleppo, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; the leader Muhammad Abbas known as ((Abu Hamza Al-Masri)), was killed during the shelling and the exchange of targeting between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions operating in Idlib, and he was known to have a disability in his lower limbs, as a result of being injured in a battle of the Air Force Intelligence in the western outskirts of Aleppo city, to complete the training of the fighters and members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and another Islamic movement, to fight and carry out military operations, as well as working in “Sharia side” in the ranks of Tahrir Al-Sham.

The reliable sources asserted to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Abu Hamza Al-Masri was a leader joined the organization of “Al Qaeda for the global Jihad” in Afghanistan after studying at the Faculty of Law in the Arab Republic of Egypt, he also fought in Pakistan and imprisoned for many years in Egypt for a period approached 16 years, then he joined “Al Qaeda in the Levant” in Syria about 6 years ago, and moved among several fronts like Hama, Aleppo and Idlib, until he died in one of these fronts during the ongoing clashes in the area which witnesses fighting raging since few days between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, the Islamic Party of Turkestan and the rebel and Islamic factions.
