After the tragedy of the displaced people in the plastic houses…another tragedy hits thousands of tents of displaced people in one of the camps in Jisr Al-Shughur countryside west of Idlib

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the warplanes returned to fly over Idlib province, in conjunction with carrying out raids this morning, on areas in it, where Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that raids targeted Maarrat Al-Nu’man city and its outskirts, and the vicinity of Hazarin village in Jabal Al-Zawiya, as well as Ein Qri’ area in the outskirts of Deir Sharqi village in Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside, and no information was reported yet about causing casualties, in the same context, the camps of the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city witness tragic conditions, as tens of families are living in the open air in the border areas of Ein Al-Baydaa and Kherbet Eljoz with Iskenderun, after the flow of water into the tents there, estimated at 3000 tents most of them are random tents, which forced them to leave and live in the open, this new displacement is added to a list included tens of thousands of other displaced people, whose displacement was documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights inside Idlib province and from Aleppo countryside towards Idlib countryside, and the number of the displaces people reached more than 150 thousand civilians from villages and towns of Abu Dhuhur area and the areas of Sinjar, Saraqeb, and the countryside fi Mae’rt Al-Noaman and the southern countryside of Idlib are, with the displacing people from the northern and northeastern countryside of Hama and the southern countryside of Aleppo, to the center and north of Idlib, where the civilians are trying to flee with their families to areas far from death and killing, amid bad humanitarian conditions and acute shortage in areas with this number of displaced people and no enough food to meet their needs, and the SOHR monitored in the countryside of Idlib that citizens resorted to live in houses made of plastic, which are originally used for planting vegetables and plants, so as to flee the cold, the rains, and the pad weather conditions witnessed in the area.

 

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night that the sky of Idlib Province has not witnessed the flight of warplanes and helicopters since the afternoon of Wednesday, the 18th of January 2018, due to the poor weather in the province today, but this bad weather did not prevent the warplanes from flying at dawn of today and in the afternoon, where they carried out at least 29 raids on areas in the southern, eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, where they carried out 9 raids on areas at the outskirts of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, Khan Shaykhun and Jarjanaz, and at least 5 raids on Abu al-Duhur area, while the rest of the raids targeted areas at the outskirts of the towns and villages of Kafr Nubl, Hass, al-Barsa, Khan al-Sobol, Mardebseh, Mardikh, Ma’arrat al-Na’asan, Ma’er Shmarin, Farwan, Qatrah, Magharat Mirza, al-Dilem, al-Samakah, Halban, Saraqib and outskirts of Talmanas, which caused several casualties and wounded, where the Observatory documented the death of 4 people as a result of the aerial bombardment, they are: a woman and 2 children were killed in the bombardment that targeted the western outskirts of Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, and a child was killed in aerial bombardment on Saraqib, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.
