Shelling by tens of missiles targets Arbin city controlled by Al-Rahman Corps in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: it has increased to 31 at least, the number of missiles which are believed to be ground-to-ground, fired by the regime forces yesterday, on areas in Arbin city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, as a part of escalating the shelling on Arbin and the entire Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published last night, that the regime forces are continuing their rocket shelling on the Eastern Ghouta, where they targeted by more missiles believed to be ground-to-ground and about 10 shells, areas in Arbin city, while violent clashes are taking place in areas in the outskirts of Arbin city from the side of the governorate building, between Al-Rahaman Corps against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, due to an attack by the latter on the area under a cover of artillery shelling by tens of shells, and no information about casualties was reported yet. In the same context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more citizens in the aerial and rocket shelling on the Eastern Ghouta on Friday the 20th of January 2018, where it has increased to 16 citizens at least including a child, a woman, and a member of the Civil Defense, the number of casualties who were killed today due to the airstrikes on the cities and the towns of Arbin, Douma, Zamlka, Hamouriyah and Hazrma, and the casualties are: 9 casualties including a citizen woman and a member of the Civil Defense were killed in the rocket shelling on Douma city, 4 citizens were killed as a result of rocket shelling on Hamouriyah city, a child was killed by raids on Zamlka city, and 2 citizens were killed in artillery shelling on Arbin and Hazram, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of several injuries with varying severity.

 

Thus, the death toll has increased of 214 citizens including 57 children and 40 citizen women, of who were killed since the 29th of December 2017 as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 129 citizens including 41 children, 31 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamouriyah, Douma and Arbin, and 85 citizens including 15 children and 8 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamouriyah, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah, Otaya and Mesraba.
