17 casualties in the Eastern Ghouta within the latest 24 hours of the escalation raise the number of civilian casualties to 215 citizens at least since the start of escalating the aerial and artillery shelling on the area

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of the civilian casualties in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus is increasing, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more citizens in the shelling on cities in the Eastern Ghouta yesterday, where it has increased to 10 citizens at least including a child, a woman, and a member of the Civil Defense, the number of casualties who were killed in the massacre carried out by the regime forces yesterday, by targeting a market in Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, raising to 17 citizens at least including a child, a woman, and a member of the Civil Defense, the number of casualties who were killed today due to the aerial and rocket shelling yesterday the 20th of January 2018, on the cities and the towns of Arbin, Douma, Zamlka, Hamouriyah and Hazrma, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of several injuries with varying severity.

Thus, the death toll has increased of 215 citizens including 57 children and 40 citizen women, of who were killed since the 29th of December 2017 as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 129 citizens including 41 children, 31 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamouriyah, Douma and Arbin, and 86 citizens including 16 children and 9 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamouriyah, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah, Otaya and Mesraba.
