Shells target areas in Al-Assad District east of the capital Damascus

The targeting renewed to the controlled areas of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in the vicinity of the capital and its districts, by rocket shells, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of shells on areas in Al-Assad District, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, while the SOHR monitored that this escalation started on the 16th of November 2017, and resulted in the death and the injury of hundreds of persons, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 51 persons at least including 2 children and 4 citizen women, who were killed as a result of the fall of these shells, and the SOHR documented the injury of more than 316 persons who were injured in these daily targeting during 2 consecutive months, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll, in which the shells have targeted since the 16th of November 2017, the areas of Al-Dawila, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Al-Mayadeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jermana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Military Teshereen Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens, buildings and shops in the places where these shells had fallen.
