Violent clashes rage in areas stretched from the north-east of Afrin to the its south-west between SDF against the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation
More casualties raise the number of people who were killed in Afrin area to about 110 persons since the start of the military operation in it
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces against the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions backed by them, in areas stretched from the north-east of Afrin to the its south-west, and in the details obtained by the SOHR; violent clashes are taking place between the both parties in places in the areas of Qastal Jendo, Balyeh Qarna, Shenkal, Adamanly, Surka, Amra, Shadia and Hamam as well as the townships of Raju, Jendires, Bulbula and Shaya, amid intensive and exchange of targeting between the both parties, in which the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation managed to advance in the villages of Qastal Jendo, , Adamanly and Hamam, while the violent combat operations are continuing in an attempt by the SDF to regain the control of the three villages after the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions backed by them took the control of these villages, while the Turkish forces and warplanes are continuing to carry out more strikes on areas in Afrin countryside, which left injuries.
The ongoing clashes resulted in the fall of more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, where it has increased to 43 at least, the number of fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions operating in “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed in addition to 2 Turkish fighters, , while it has increased to at least 38, the number of the fighters of the SDF and the Civil Defense who were killed in the clashes between them, including a reporter of the SDF who died affected by the injury he had during the coverage of the battle in the north-east of Afrin, also it has increased to 23 persons at least including 6 children and 2 women, the number of citizens who were killed in shelling by the Turkish forces and the Turkish warplanes on Afrin city and the areas of Jilbara and Marimeen and other places in Afrin city, and a man and his child were killed in shelling by the SDF on towns of Kiljibrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past few hours, that several reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Afrin area with its cities, villages and townships witnessed a mass displacement of thousands of citizens, who wanted to stay away from the places of combat operations and fled from death, killing and ongoing shelling by the Turkish warplanes and the rocket and artillery shelling, and the sources confirmed that the checkpoints of Bashkuy and Duwayr Al-Zaytun as well as the checkpoints of the 4th division at the Industrial area in Sheikh Najjar, prevent the displaced people to reach their homes and their relatives’ homes in the controlled areas on the Kurdish units (YPG) in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood and Al-Ashrafiyah in Aleppo city.
