The death of 31 persons by the aerial and artillery shelling during the pas 24 hours raises the number of casualties to about 290 during 40 days of the escalation on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces shelled places today morning, in Hazrma town in Al-Marj area as well as other areas in Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, without information about injuries, while the regime forces have been targeting places in Harasta city since after the midnight of Monday – Tuesday, by several missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, while it has increased to at least 7 including 2 child girls, the number of casualties who were killed in the massacre carried yesterday by warplanes by targeting places in Haza town in the Eastern Ghouta, increasing in turn to 31, the number of the casualties whose death was documented yesterday the 5th of February 2018, by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, and the casualties are: a citizen woman died affected by the injury she had as a result of artillery shelling which targeted Douma city yesterday, a citizen was killed in artillery shelling on areas in Douma city, 10 persons including 2 citizen women and 2 children, who were killed in bombardment by warplanes on a market in Beit Sawa, 9 persons including 2 child girls, a citizen woman and the leader of the Civil Defense Centre, were killed in a massacre carried out by the warplanes in Arbin city after targeting it by 15 raids, 6 persons including 2 child girls were killed in a massacre carried out by targeting an area in Hazza town by a raid, 2 persons one of them is a child were killed by 2 raids carried out by warplanes on areas in Zamalka city, and a citizen was killed due to 3 raids carried out by warplanes on Hamouriyah, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of more than 70 injuries, some of them have seriously wounded, and some others have permanent disabilities.

Thus, the death toll has increased to 289 citizens including 72 children and 48 citizen women, who have been killed since the 29th of December 2017, as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 169 citizens including 51 children, 36 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin, and 120 citizens including 21 children and 12 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah, Otaya and Mesraba.
