Shelling on the capital Damascus and its vicinity kill and injure 13 persons and raises the number of people killed and injured to about 505 since the beginning of escalation in mid of November

Shell fell on areas in the capital Damascus and its suburbs, where the SOHR monitored today Tuesday the 6th of February 2018 the fall of shells on places in Al-Assad District and Jermana city, and other places in Bab Touma neighborhoods, where 3 people were killed in Bab Touma, in addition to the injury of about 10 others, including a woman and a child under the age of 18, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured people in serious conditions.

Thus, the death toll rises to 78 including 10 children and 11 women, the number of those who were killed as result of the fall of these shells and have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since this escalation started on the 16th of November 2017, while it has increased to 425 persons who were injured in these daily targeting, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll, in which the shells have targeted since the 16th of November 2017, the areas of Al-Dawila, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Al-Mayadeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jermana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Military Teshereen Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens, buildings and shops in the places where these shells hadfallen.
