After the regime forces began to shell their controlled areas…SDF and the International Coalition target positions of the regime forces by air and land and kill tens of their members and allies

Deir Ezzor province is witnessing great tension accompanied by unusual developments in the area opposite Deir Ezzor city and the east of the Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling and clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces against the regime forces and their allies, as well as shelling by the International Coalition which targeted poisons of the regime forces and killed and injured tens of their members, and in the details obtained by the SOHR; gunmen and agents loyal to the regime forces let out a rumor yesterday morning, in Deir Ezzor countryside, that the regime prepares to advance in Deir Ezzor countryside, and the International Coalition abandoned the SDF which remained alone in the face of the regime, to start, an hour before the midnight of Wednesday – Thursday, exchange of artillery shelling between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them located in Khesham area in the east of the Euphrates River, against the SDF located in the villages of Jdid Ekydat, Jdid Bakara and Koniko oilfield, followed by clashes by machineguns between the both parties in the contact areas between them, which forces the International Coalition to intervene in this conflict between the both parties, thus, the International Coalition’s forces stationed in Al-Omar oilfield fired more than 12 missiles which targeted the regime forces in Khesham, Marrat and Al-Salihiyah near Deir Ezzor city, on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from intersected sources, that it was not enough for the International Coalition to carry out this rocket shelling, so the International Coalition’s warplanes hurried to intervene and targeted positions of the regime forces in the vicinity of Khesham town, targeting vehicles of the regime forces and their allies artillery emplacements, resulting in the death of more than 20 members of the regime forces and their allies and the injury of tens other with varying severity, as well as the destructions of several vehicles and artillery emplacements in the area, and the Syrian Observatory monitored alertness by the residents of the controlled areas of the SDF in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and they headed to the fronts to support the SDF to repel the regime’s attack towards the areas that out of its control, while displacement took place from Jdid Ekydat, Jdid Bakara and Al-Dahlah, to other areas in the east of the Euphrates River for fears of renewed shelling by the regime forces.

And it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored previously, 4 targeting by the International Coalition which targeted the regime forces and their allies, one of them was on the 6th of June 2017, where the International Coalition’s warplanes killed 32 members including an officer at leas of Syrian nationality, they were killed in airstrikes that targeted a column of vehicles and weapons of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, which was headed from al-Sabea’ Biyar area to Zaza checkpoint area, which is more than 100 km away from al-Tanaf border crossing that connects Iraq and Syria, also the airstrikes injured others, and this was the fourth strike by the International Coalition and the US forces against the regime forces, while the first strike was in the second half of September 2016, which targeted Jabal Al-Tharda, the vicinity of Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, and positions of the regime forces in its vicinity, during which 90 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed, while the while Al-Shi’ayrat Military Airbase, witnessed the second strike, in which the US targeted it by rocket strikes which killed 10 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, while 8 members were killed after a column of the regime forces was targeted by a strike on the 18th of May 2017, and they were of the gunmen loyal to the regime forces most of whom are of non-Syrian nationalities.
