After the airstrikes killed 12 citizens and fighters in Maarrat Al-Nu’man… the warplanes start a series of new raids on Idlib countryside

Idlib Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the bombardment is continuing on areas in Idlib countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out a new series of raids today Thursday the 8th of February 2018, which targeted areas in the towns and the villages of Saraqeb, Ghadqa, Armanaz, Maasaran, Kafr Amim, Maar Zita, and the vicinity of Hass, Habit and Qasabiyyah, in the eastern and the southern countryside of Idlib, and the strikes on Saraqeb resulted in the death of a person and the fall of wounded, and the warplanes targeted the area of a dispensary in Mashmishan village in the eastern countryside of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, which caused material damage, without information about casualties. In the same context, the number of people who were killed in 13 airstrikes by the warplanes and the fall of two missiles believed to be ballistics, which targeted areas in Maarrat Al-Nu’man city in the southern section of Idlib countryside yesterday, has increased to 12 persons they are 5 men, a citizen woman and 6 members of the free army of Idlib including a commander of an anti-land battalion, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured cases in serious conditions and the presence of missing people, in addition to information about other casualties.

On the other hand, the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, managed to regain the control of two villages in the area between Abu-Al-Duhur and Saraqeb, after the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham withdrew from them, after they managed to control them yesterday, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that violent clashes between Turkestan Islamic Party, the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham on one hand, and the regime forces and their allies west of Sinajr area in the eastern countryside of Idlib, in an attempt by the factions to advance in the area after they managed to control two villages they lost weeks ago in this area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published yesterday that a violent explosion rocked the area between Abu Al-Duhur town and Saraqeb area in the eastern section of Idlib countryside, as a result of detonating a booby trapped vehicle by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham which targeted the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in Al-Husseiniyah area (Tell Kalba) in the west of Abu Al-Duhur, today morning Wednesday the 7th of February 2018, and confirmed information about the death and the injury of members of the regime forces and their allies which followed by exchange of targeting and violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the vicinity of Al-Husseiniyah and other areas near Tell Sultan and in the areas between Abu Al-Duhur and Saraqeb, in an attack and an attempt by the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham to achieve further advancement in the area, and this area has been witnessing run-and-hit clashes and exchange of control between the both parties for days.
