The targeting by shells to Damascus city and its districts escalates as well as fall of more casualties

The capital Damascus and areas in its districts, were targeted by more shells, which caused material damage, and resulted in the fall of casualties, where the shells targeted today the 8th of February 2018, areas in Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Emara, Al-Mazra’a, Al-Zabaltani neighborhood, Tahrir Square and Al-Qazzaz area, which resulted in the death of a young man and the injury of others with varying severity, increasing to 2 the number of those who were killed today in the capital Damascus and Dahyat Al-Assad

Thus, it has increased to 84 including 12 children and 12 women, the number of those who were killed as result of the fall of shells and have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since this escalation started on the 16th of November 2017, while it has increased to more than 465 persons who were injured in these daily targeting, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll, in which the shells have targeted since the 16th of November 2017, the areas of Al-Dawila, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Al-Mayadeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jermana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Military Teshereen Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens, buildings and shops in the places where these shells had fallen.
