A shell targets an area in the middle of the capital Damascus after killing and injuring hundreds of people in 87 days of the escalation on the capital and its districts

Explosions were heard in the middle of the capital Damascus caused by the fall of one shell at least on Al-Salihiyah area in the middle of the capital, and no information about casualties was reported yet, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it has increased to 89 including 13 children and 12 women, the number of those who were killed as result of the fall of shells and have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since this escalation started on the 16th of November 2017, while it has increased to more than 481 persons who were injured in these daily targeting, including tens of children and citizen women, some of whom have seriously injured and have permanent disability, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored the continuation of the poor health condition of some of the injured people, which may raise the death toll, in which the shells have targeted since the 16th of November 2017, the areas of Al-Dwel’a, Al-Sawika, Al-Fahama Khalid bin al-Walid Street, and other areas in Old Damascus, as well as places in Al-Zablatany, Al-Qassaa, Bab Touma, Al-Mujtahed, al-Fayhaa, Al-Abasyeen, Al-Mayadeen, Seba’ Baharat, Aish Al-Warawar, Jermana, Dahyat Al-Assad, Teshereen Military Hospital and other places in the center of the capital, which caused material damage to the property of the citizens, buildings and shops in the places where these shells had fallen.
