Regime’s warplanes re-bombard Douma causing more than 25 wounded after its airstrikes stopped for about 24 hours in the Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: warplanes returned to cause more casualties in the besieged Ghouta, by renewing the airstrikes targeting areas in its cities and towns, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the warplanes carrying out a raid on Douma city -the stronghold of Jaysh al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta- by six missiles, which injured more than 25 civilians including children and women, and some of them are in serious conditions which may cause casualties, followed by another raid on other areas in Douma city, also warplanes carried out a raid on area in Harasta city, which caused material damage but no information about human losses, raising to 30 at least, the number of citizens who were injured in the aerial, artillery and missile shelling and in the Eastern Ghouta.

These airstrikes come in the wake of 2 raids targeted the orchards between the cities of Douma and Harasta, amid raid by warplanes on areas in Douma city, in conjunction with the launching 7 artillery shells on areas in Douma city, also a missile believed to be ground-to-ground fell and caused material damage, but no information about casualties, all of this come about 24 hours after the absence of warplanes from the Eastern Ghouta, also earlier that the regime forces targeted areas in the outskirts of Harasta city by 11 missiles at least believed to be ground-to-ground, and other places in the city, in conjunction with shelling by 2 artillery shells on Hosh Al-Salihiyah village in Al-Marj area, which injured a person, and the regime forces fired a shell on Douma city, which resulted in the injury of 3 persons, and the regime forces also fired 2 shells this morning, on areas in Beit Sawa town, in conjunction with the fall of 2 shells on Mesraba town which injured another person, as well as 2 shells which fell on areas in Saqba city, preceded by shelling by 7 missiles at least believed to be ground-to-ground, on areas in Arbin city, while areas in Douma city were targeted earlier by 5 artillery shells , without information about casualties.

And this decreased pace of killing and shelling as well as the stop of the warplanes’ flight, comes after 5 bloody days, in which the Eastern Ghouta witnessed the highest death toll during 5 days since late 2014, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of 250 persons at least including 104 children and citizen women, on Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, Tuesday and Monday, and in a descending order of the numbers of civilian casualties in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus according to the number of casualties in cities and towns, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ documented casualties: in Arbin city 61 citizens were killed including 16 children and 8 citizen women, then Douma city with the death of 59 citizens including 14 children and 12 citizen women, in addition to the death of  7 other citizens including 2 citizen woman, they were killed in the artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Douma city, followed by Hamuriya city with 26 citizens including 8 children and 2 citizen women, followed by Beit Sawa town with 21 casualties including 6 children and 2 citizen women, then Jesrin town with 17 casualties including 3 children and 6 citizen women were killed in a massacre in the town, then Hazza town with 15 citizens including 5 children and a citizen woman, followed by Zamalka city with 12 casualties including a child and 3 citizen women, followed by Mesraba town with 11 casualties including 3 children and 4 citizen women, then Kafr Batna with 7 citizens including a child, then Saqba with 7 casualties including 2 children and 2 citizen women, then Madyara with 4 citizens including a child and a citizen woman, and finally Harasta city with 3 citizens including a child, while about 775 citizens were injured with varying severity including tens of children and citizen women.
